Pokémon GO celebrates the spooky season this October with a selection of Timed Research running alongside Halloween-themed in-game events

As part of Pokémon GO's celebration of the spooky season this year, Niantic has announced that a new Timed Research will unlock in-game each Thursday throughout the month of October. To participate in this event and receive these Timed Research opportunities, Trainers will need to purchase the Ticket of Treats, which will be available for purchase from the in-game shop for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency) until October 29th, at 11:59pm local time.

The tasks associated with each of these Timed Research opportunities must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before October 31st, at 11:59pm local time. While each Timed Research is intended to be associated with a specific event, there is no requirement for players to complete these tasks during the same week they launch.

Trainers may also gift the Ticket of Treats to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

Bonuses for ticket holders
Trainers who have purchased the Ticket of Treats will receive the following bonuses until to October 31st, at 11:59pm local time:

• 1.5× additional XP awarded for the first catch of the day
• 1.5× additional Stardust for the first catch of the day

Timed Research Details
Each of the following Timed Research tasks will also include additional rewards that have not been explicitly announced at this stage.

Ticket of Treats Part 1
Part 1, focusing on Raid Battles, will unlock on October 5th, at 10:00am local time. When the Timed Research tasks are completed, Trainers will receive:

• Three Premium Battle Passes

Ticket of Treats Part 2
Part 2 will unlock on October 12th, at 10:00am local time, running alongside the Harvest Festival event. When the Timed Research tasks are completed, Trainers will receive the following:

• One Mossy Lure
• Additional encounters with Large Size and Super Size Pumpkaboo

Ticket of Treats Part 3
Part 3 will unlock on October 19th, at 10:00am local time, running alongside the Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part 1 event. When the Timed Research tasks are completed, Trainers will receive the following:

• Two Incubators
• Additional encounters with Phantump

Ticket of Treats Part 4
Part 4 will unlock on October 26th, at 10:00am local time, running alongside the Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part 2 event. When the Timed Research tasks are completed, Trainers will receive the following:

• Three Silver Pinap Berries
• Two Super Incubators
• Two Rare Candies
• Additional encounters with Misdreavus and Phantump
