Pokémon GO Expansion Announced for the Pokémon Trading Card Game - To be released Summer 2022

In a surprise announcement earlier today, The Pokémon Company and Niantic have announced an upcoming collaboration between the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon GO, with an expansion themed around the popular mobile game to be released worldwide later this year.

As of writing, the only firm details we have about this expansion come from the very brief teaser trailer, which shows off a booster pack design, and a rough timeframe for release of Summer 2022 (which will of course make this winter 2022 for us down in the southern hemisphere). We'll keep you posted as soon as more details are available.
