Pokémon GO: Searching for Gold Research Day event to be held on June 3rd

Niantic has announced details for Searching for Gold Research Day, an upcoming Pokémon GO event running on June 3th, between 2:00pm and 5:00pm local time.

Event bonuses
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• PokéStops may turn gold without a Golden Lure Module.
• Roaming Form Gimmighoul won't appear at Golden PokéStops if a Golden Lure Module wasn't used, but Trainers may still find Gimmighoul Coins when they spin the PokéStop.

Wild encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

• Weedle ⁂
• Bellsprout ⁂
• Poochyena ⁂
• Buizel ⁂
• Tympole ⁂
• Shelmet ⁂
• Stufful ⁂
• Lickitung (uncommon) ⁂
• Azumarill (uncommon)

Field Research tasks encounters
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available when Photo Discs at PokéStops are spun. Complete them to encounter the following featured Pokémon:

• Caterpie ⁂
• Magikarp ⁂
• Nosepass ⁂
• Sableye ⁂
• Barboach ⁂

Timed Research
Trainers can spend US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency) to receive access to event-exclusive Timed Research, which is available right now from the in-game shop. When these research tasks are completed, Trainers will be able to encounter the following featured Pokémon:

• Caterpie ⁂
• Magikarp ⁂
• Nosepass ⁂
• Sableye ⁂
• Barboach ⁂

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before June 3th, at 5:00pm local time. This Timed Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
