Pokémon GO Tour Sinnoh heads to Los Angeles's Rose Bowl Stadium on February 17th and 18th, 2024 - Global event to follow on February 24th and 25th

Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh Key Art
Niantic this week has announced premininary details regarding Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh, which will be running in February 2024. As its name suggests, this event will focus on Pokémon from the Sinnoh region which originally made their debut in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions. Shiny variants of Pokémon from Sinnoh, including Stunky, Chingling, Chatot, Carnivine, and Pachirisu, will all also make their Pokémon GO debuts as part of this event.

Los Angeles Live Event Details

The GO Tour will begin with a 2-day event that will be held in-person in the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles next year on February 17th and 18th, running between 9:00am and 5:00pm (PST) on each day.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active for ticket holders during the event period:
  • Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for trades
  • Up to 9 daily free Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
  • Up to 6 Special Trades can be made during the day on the ticket purchased
  • Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf Photo Safarism awarding encounters with these Pokémon when Trainers take a snapshot of them in the wild
  • Turtwig, Chimchar, and/or Piplup wearing Lucas or Dawn's hat may show up in snapshots taken by Trainers during the event
All ticket-holding Trainers will be able to pick between a Diamond or Pearl badge, with the team selected determining certain rewards and bonuses Trainers will receive during the event. Trainers will be able to visit a Team Lounge for their selected team during the event for rest, relaxation, and the opportunity to participate in some additional in-person activities. The badge Trainers pick at Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles will carry over to the global event the following weekend.

All attendees will also have the opportunity to meet notable Trainers from the community, and take advantage of special photo opportunities.

Special, Field, Timed, and Masterwork Research

A selection of exclusive research will be available for ticket-holders during the live event.

Firstly, an exclusive Special Research story will be available for ticket-holders during the live experience at the Rose Bowl Stadium. In this Special Research, Trainers will be able to take part in an exclusive adventure working alongside the leaders of Team GO Rocket who are soliciting Trainer's assistance after running into trouble.

Secondly, exclusive Field Research will be running during this event. Trainers completing the Timed Research tasks will be awarded with encounters with Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, including Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup wearing Lucas or Dawn’s hat.

Ticket-holders will also be able to access a special Timed Research, A Tale of Mischief and Misdeeds... , which challenges Trainers to spin 10 out of 108 special PokéStops scattered across Los Angeles County and Orange County in order to earn encounters with the Forbidden Pokémon, Spiritomb. This Timed Research story will be available to all ticket-holding Trainers beginning February 16th. All tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before February 18th, at 8:00pm local time.

Shiny Shaymin
Finally, ticket-holding Trainers attending the in-person event in Los Angeles will be able to access Masterwork Research leading to an encounter with Shiny Shaymin.

Ticket Information
Tickets for the live event in Los Angeles will be available at a discounted rate of USD $25 until December 31st, after which the price will increase to USD $30. Each ticket is only valid for a single day of gameplay. Additional add-ons are also available for purchase. The Raid Lover and Egg-thusiast addons provide extra bonuses that will be active between February 16th and 18th, while the Citywide Gameplay Add-On provides an additional day of the citywide gameplay experience that is valid only for the day that the Trainer is not taking part in the Rose Bowl Stadium event experience.

Citywide Gameplay Add-Ons - $20

  • 1/2 Stardust Cost for trades

Tickets can also be gifted by Trainers to someone else they are at least Great Friends with in Pokémon GO. All tickets purchased together in a single order will be for the same date and time.

Pokémon GO Tour Sinnoh T-Shirt Teaser
An event-exclusive Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh T-shirt will also be available for purchase together with tickets. Orders for these shirts are limited, and will be available only while stocks last. No returns, exchanges, or cancellations of t-shirts being ordered alongside tickets will be accepted.

Global Event Details
The in-person event will be followed by a global in-game event which will be held on February 24th and 25th, running from 10:00am to 6:00pm local time on both days. Trainers from all over the world can participate in this global event without tickets.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active during the event period:
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for trades
  • Up to 6 Special Trades can be made each day
As with the Los Angeles event, all Trainers will also be able to pick between a Diamond or Pearl badge, with the team selected determining certain rewards and bonuses Trainers will receive during the event Trainers who participated in the Los Angeles event will continue with the badge they had previously selected.

Special and Masterwork Research
During the global event, Trainers worldwide will be able to receive the same exclusive Special Research story featuring Team GO Rocket as in the live-action event. Trainers will also be able to purchase a version of the Masterwork Research featuring Shiny Shaymin, though the global Masterwork Research will be more challenging than its counterpart for ticket-holders in Los Angeles

Trainers participating in the global event will encounter the same Pokémon in Incense Encounters, One-Star Raids, and Five-Star Raids, and hatch the same Pokémon from Eggs, as in the Los Angeles live event.
