The Season of Heritage storyline in Pokémon GO is beginning to wind up with the start of the new Power Plant event, which is inspired by the power plants found in the Kanto and Kalos regions. In this event, which will be running in-game until February 1st, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Spark's intuition has lead him to believe that the final mechanism of the door will require Electric-type Pokémon to power it. Players will work with Spark to catch Pokémon, as he makes progress toward unlocking the final mechanism of the mysterious door located at the historical cave site. As Spark proceeds with his investigation, he begins to have a creeping feeling that something unexpected is going to happen. It seems that a nefarious force has also caught wind of the door and the power that lies beyond it.
