Welcome to Pokemon Idol School: Season 1!

Based off the 2017 South Korean survival show Idol School, the aim of this fanfic is to form a 12-member girl group consisting entirely of Pokemon out of 40 trainees! Brock (Pewter City Gym Leader), Elesa (Nimbasa City Gym Leader), Korrina (Shalour City Gym Leader), and Brawly (Dewford Town Gym Leader) will be our mentors for this season, and you can only expect the contestants to get better as the show goes on, with the public getting to vote for those that should advance further into the competition! This is season 1 of... Pokemon Idol School!

Introducing the Host and Mentors​

Cilan: Welcome! I'm your host, Cilan, and this time, 40 female trainee Pokemon will be seeking stardom where they are divided into four teams. After all the trainees have performed in each episode, the public will vote for whoever gets to advance further into the competition, and closer to debuting as part of a girl group. Hope you're ready for a night full of performances! (clears his throat) Before we introduce our first contestant, though, let's play some introductory tapes from our mentors to see what they have to say!

Brock: Hello! Takeshi here. I specialize in Rock-type Pokemon, and I've been the Pewter Gym Leader for 21 years. I'm here to train female Pokemon on the road to stardom, and once there's a final lineup, it's all up to Cilan to manage the band! Let's get this show on the road!!!

Elesa: You know what? The music lover Pokemon Trainer Kamitsure is back! I'll be listening to the sounds of the trainee Pokemon as much as I'll like their looks, so here we go!

Korrina: A-yo, it's Korrina that's here to be a mentor for all those trainee Pokemon out there! I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Pokemon I'm mentoring in this show is of a Fighting-type species, but nevermind - we need to go on. Now.

Brawly: I'm here! So... you may know me as Touki-san, or better yet, Brawly. I'll be a good mentor this season, I promise!

New Gen's First Duet: Steenee and Bewear

Steenee's Introductory Tape​

Steenee: Hi! It's your fruity gal here to perform for an audience of... Hmmm, maybe 2 billion people? Anyway, forget about that audience thing. I'm a level-20, seishun part of a Grass-type Pokemon species that has a delectable fragrance and a pale-green calyx atop the head, and plus, I'm also proud to have wide hips resembling the flesh of a mangosteen, right? (clears throat) Well, my hometown is the Viridian Forest in Kanto, where I was born as a Bounsweet. However, as I grew up to become a Steenee, I learned how to speak like humans do, and met this handsome (now shinimashita'd) Raboot named Jonghyun from Pallet Town. And guess what? He spoke like humans do, too! However, his untimely death last year was all thanks to a suicidal poisoning of carbon monoxide, which was sad since he taught me how to sing his songs at the right pitches! Anyway, I hope to be the best throughout this competition!

Bewear's Introductory Tape​

Bewear: Hey mentors! Remember me from when I lived together with those thieves from Team Rocket? Well, I'm back, this time to be famous for my vocals and dancing! I hope to be the Bewear that sings as part of a girl group, and also dances in a way that impresses her audience! Anyway, I'm level 22, and I feel fine! Ever since I was a chiisai Stufful, I've learnt to sing as a result of years of singing to songs by K-pop and J-pop girl groups at karaoke boxes. I'll have to say that my fave song of all time is "Ren'ai Hunter" by Morning Musume, which I discovered on the intanetto - plus, I'll have you know that I've also been part of the fandoms of iroirona Taiwanese artists before! Anyway, it's time to get myself onstage, so here we go!

Elesa: Speak of the devil, here come my first two contestants! Hello, trainees! If you could introduce yourselves with some basic info, that'd be great!
Steenee: Hi! I'm a level-20 Steenee.

Steenee and Bewear: (in unison) And we're here to be trainees that shall debut as part of a girl group one day!
Elesa: Wow, you're in your early adult years! Anyway, it's time to see you perform. Can't wait to see how you trainees manage this!

Togedemaru's Introductory Tape​

Togedemaru: Hey, hey, hey! I'm part of a species that's spherical and rodent-like, with a recolored version of a Pikachu's tail! (clears throat) So... I'm a level-19 Togedemaru that started life as a loner reborn from a Mimikyu's true form, which is why I'm no ordinary Togedemaru! Anyway, forget about what I just said earlier. Since being washed away onto the shores of Hoenn as a chiisai Togdemaru, only to be saved by a Lugia, I've been proud of how my life has been. In fact, my favorite song of all time is "Despacito", which has some catchy and addictive beats. I hope you find this useful, as I'm still in my seishun years. Cheers!

Alcremie: A-yo! I'd like to tell you that I'm just another level-17, mint-cream-and-strawberries gal from the outskirts of Sunyshore City! All my friends have been K-pop stans ever since they were chiisai, but it wasn't until I entered senior high that they introduced me to that genre! My favorite song of all time is "Dance the Night Away" by TWICE, which has those cool beach vibes. Got it? If yes, let's move on!

Korrina: Well, this performance was full of goodness with some flaws. While both of you executed your dance routine perfectly, I'll just say this to one of you: Togedemaru, you went a little off-pitch with your parts, and you mispronounced one of the words in the second line of your verse. On the bright side, though, your break-dancing was amazing!
