When the group emerged into Mine 20, a glowing green flower got Jade Flower's attention--one of the blooms she was searching for!

The problem was the Golem guarding the bloom--and it was not giving it up without a fight!

"Go. I'll handle the Golem," Kyo said. Greninja readies itself for battle.

Surprisingly, Jade Flower conjured a Gracidea flower and leaf bow and a whorl of rose petals. I'm not running away and hiding--I have a type advantage both on the ground, and in the air!

"Greninja, Water Shuriken!" He shouts. Greninja slaps its hands together and forms the shurikens before throwing them at the Golem. "Nice. That Mystic Water is really helping you," he adds.

Tsumugi is on the way, still making her way through the mines. She'll probably show up at a critical moment in the battle, since that's how these things tend to go! In the meantime and until then, does she encounter or find anything of note while traversing mines 9, 11, 13, and 17?

“I knew it,” Kai says under his breath. “Kaku, Frenzy Plant!” Kai commanded while releasing the Torterra. Kaku roared as four roots erupted from the ground and hit the Golem, doing significant damage.

The Golem is staggered and knocked over by the Water Shuriken and the Frenzy Plant. "Nice. Your Torterra is quite powerful, Kai." Kyo said.

Jade Flower fires a green tinged arrow. The resulting shot creates a red rose on the Golem on impact, doing major Nature damage.

After a bit, the Golem manages to get back on its feet and lets out a roar. It kicks a rock, which almost hits Jade Flower. "Look out!" Kyo shouts. He charges and pushes her out of the way, taking the rock to the chest, getting the wind knocked out of him.
