Pokémon Masters EX launches celebrations for the run-up to its 3.5 year anniversary - Leon & Charizard return in Master Fair Scout

As announced yesterday, a range of scouts, events and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the run-up to the game's 3.5 year anniversary. In addition to the previously announced Leon & Charizard Master Scout, and the re-run of the Champion Time story event, players can also challenge a new Extreme Battle Event. Returning players who've not logged in for 30 days or more will also be able to take advantage of a special Welcome Back Rally, including a selection of log-in bonuses and missions.

For the next month, until March 17th at 9:59pm (PST), the in-game Pokémon Center will be getting a special makeover to celebrate the 3.5 year anniversary, including updates to the background music. More information on additional upcoming anniversary events is expected to be released in the regular letter from the game's producers at the end of this month, and in the Pokémon Presents presentation expected for Pokémon Day on February 27th.

Story Event: Champion Time
Originally running from February 26th to March 18th, 2020, this event follows the player, along with Gloria, as they meet up with Leon, Piers, and Marnie, who have just arrived in Pasio. The event is available in-game now, and will be running through to March 10th, at 9:59pm (PST). While participating in event battles, players will be able to earn Prize Coins, which must be used to unlock each part of the event's story from the event's Prize Box. Players can also acquire a range of special rewards from their Prize Box pulls, including 5★ Galar Scout Tickets, 3★ and 4★ Power-Ups, and a Tech Move Candy Coin. Players can also obtain Event Medals and Gems for completing special missions during the event. All rewards can be claimed even if players have previously completed the event during its original run.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

• Leon & Charizard, Marnie & Morpeko, Piers & Obstagoon, Gloria & Zacian: +60% (x1.6) bonus rewards
• Player Character & Pikachu, Player Character & Torchic: +20% (x1.2) bonus rewards
• All other sync pairs with the Galar Theme Skill: +20% (x1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Leon & Charizard, Marnie & Morpeko, and the Main Character & Pikachu, would grant a combined +140% (x2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• Leftover Prize Coin items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes.

Extreme Battle Event: Challenge the Shining Star of Galar
Players will face off against Gloria, Marnie, and Hop in this latest Extreme Battle. Sync Pairs from Galar in player's teams will receive boosts to their Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense, with this strength bonus increasing with difficulty level.

Players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier to participate in this event. This event will run until March 10th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Leon Master Fair Scout
5★ Leon & Charizard are returning in a special Master Fair Scout alongside these two events. This Sync Pair was first released in a Master Fair scout in February 2021. As usual for Master Fair scouts, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 12% chance of appearing, with the featured pair having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs.

In conjunction with this scout, Leon & Charizard will now be able to Gigantamax, and will have all of their Max Moves unlocked. Players who had previously obtained this Sync Pair from another scout will also have their Max Moves unlocked.

The Leon Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:

• 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1
• 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up x2
• 3rd Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1
• 4th Scout: 5★ Power-Up x4
• 5th Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1, Support Move Candy Coin x1

This scout banner will remain available until March 17th, at 9:59pm (PST). As always, Poké Fair exclusive Sync Pairs may reappear in future Poké Fair Scouts.

10-Pair Scout
Until March 17th at 9:59pm (PST), players will receive up to 10 special 10-Pair Scout Tickets as log-in bonuses, at a rate of one ticket per day. These tickets can be used exclusively in a 10-Pair Scout, which will remain available in-game until March 24th at 9:59pm (PST). This Ticket Scout includes all Sync Pairs within the general pool, including 5★ Sync Pairs.

Welcome Back Rally
Players who have not logged in for 30 days or more will be able to take advantage of a special Welcome Back Rally until March 17th, at 9:59pm (PST). This rally is split up into two parts. Firstly, the rally includes a special set of 17 missions, which if completed will award players 1,000 gems, along with a selection of basic items for improving their sync pairs.

The rally also includes a daily log-in bonus, granting players a large quantity of gems simply for logging-in. Players can receive these log-in bonuses up until March 3rd at 9:59pm (PST), so even if you miss a few days there's still time to receive all your gifts.

A new mission bingo has also been added for the run-up to 3.5 years celebrations, including 4 exploration tasks, and 5 activity tasks. Completing all tasks will reward players with 1,200 gems, Support and Strike Move Candy Coins, and several other useful items including Skip Tickets and Skill Spheres. This Mission Bingo will remain available until February 28th, at 9:59pm (PST).

The following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until March 3rd, at 9:59pm (PST), offering discounted prices on paid gems.
