Pokémon Masters EX launches celebrations for the run-up to its 4.5 year anniversary - Gladion & Magearna debut in Master Fair Scout and Story Event

As announced a couple of days ago, a range of events, scouts, and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the run-up to the game's 4.5 year anniversary. In addition to the previously announced new Mechanized—Love and Solitude Story Event, Gladion Master Scout, and 10 Pair Scout, players can also challenge a new Extreme Battle Event starring Hau.

More information on other upcoming anniversary events are expected to be released in the regular letter from the game's producers at the end of this month, as well as in the Pokémon Presents presentation expected to drop on Pokémon Day on February 27th.

Run-Up to 4.5 Years Bonuses
For the next month, until March 17th at 10:59pm (PDT), the in-game Pokémon Center will be getting a special makeover to celebrate the 4.5 year anniversary, including updates to the background music.

Log-in Bonus
A special log-in bonus for the run-up to the 4.5 year anniversary is available in game now, continuing through until February 29th, at 9:59pm (PST). The rewards being offered each day are as follows:

• Day 1: Gems x300
• Day 2: Gems x300
• Day 3: Gems x300
• Day 4: Gems x300
• Day 5: Gems x300
• Day 6: Gems x300
• Day 7: Gems x300
• Day 8: Gems x300

Gem Specials
The following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until March 9rd, at 9:59pm (PST), offering discounted prices on paid gems.

• Run-up to 4.5 Years gem special 1: Gems x300
• Run-up to 4.5 Years gem special 2: Gems x1,300
• Run-up to 4.5 Years gem special 3: Gems x4,000
• Run-up to 4.5 Years gem special 4: Gems x14,000

Story Event: Mechanized—Love and Solitude
This new Story Event, focusing on Gladion and Lillie as they assist Lusamine in delivering Magearna to its family, will run through to March 3rd, at 9:59pm (PST).

By completing battles during this event, players can earn Event Voucher L items, which can be exchanged for a variety of valuable items including Custom Sync Orbs for Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna, 5★ Scout Tickets and Power-Ups, Skill Items, Special Skill Feather 20, and a Sprint Move Candy Coins. Players can also obtain Gems, Battle Points, a Strike Move Candy Coin, and Event Medals for completing special missions during the event.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

• Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna: +60% (x1.6) Bonus Rewards
• Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala, Sygna Suit Lusamine & Necrozma, Colress & Klinklang: +40% (x1.4) Bonus Rewards
• All other Sync Pairs with the Alola Theme Skills: +20% (x1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna, Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala, and Sygna Suit Lusamine & Necrozma would grant a combined +140% (x2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• Leftover Event Voucher L items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes

Special Sync Pair Event: Riley & Lucario
Riley is making his Pokémon Masters EX debut together with his partner Lucario in this new Special Sync Pair Event, which is running through to March 30th at 10:59pm (PDT).

Riley & Lucario can be acquired simply by completing the first Story area of the event. By completing stages in the event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher K items, which can be exchanged for additional copies of the sync pair to improve their sync moves and move level, Custom Sync Orbs for Riley & Lucario, and other items.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher K items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.

Riley Welcome Log-In Bonus
This Special Sync Pair Event includes a log-in bonus over 10 days, to assist players in powering up Riley & Lucario. Players can receive these bonuses up until March 30th, at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.

Extreme Battle Event: Take on a Full-Powered Hau
Players will face off against Hau in this latest Extreme Battle, which will run until March 20th, at 10:59pm (PDT). Sync Pairs from Alola in player's teams will receive boosts to their Attack, Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense, with this strength bonus increasing with difficulty level.

Master Fair Scouts with new and returning Alolan Sync Pairs
Master Fair Scouts for Gladion, Lillie, and Lusamine in their Master Sync Pairs will each be running over the coming weeks alongside the 4.5 Anniversary Celebrations.

Gladion Master Fair Scout
Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna make their debut in this latest Master Fair Scout, which debuts alongside the start of the Mechanized—Love and Solitude Story Event. This scout will run through to March 31st, at 10:59pm (PDT). As usual for Master Fair scouts, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 12% chance of appearing, with the featured pair having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs. Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pairs may reappear in future Master Fair Scouts.

Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna are a Fairy-Type Strike Sync Pair with an unlockable Sprint EX Role. This pair's Master Passive Skill is Alola Spirit, which powers up the special attack moves of all allied sync pairs by 20%, and reduces special attack move taken by all allied sync pairs by 25%. These values are increased by an additional 15% and 3% for each additional Alola Sync Pair on the team, up to a maximum of 50% and 31% respectively. Their Piercing Fluer Cannon Buddy Move, which does more damage when opponent's Sp. Atk is lowered, synergises with their Just Give It Up Already Passive Skill which lower opponent's Sp. Atk whenever Magearna successfully attacks with Fleur Cannon.

The Gladion Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. Additionally, the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:

• 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Support Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1
• 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up x2
• 3rd Scout: Sprint Move Candy Coin x1, Field Move Candy Coin x1
• 4th Scout: 5★ Power-Up x4
• 5th Scout: Move Candy Coin x1

In addition, a Special Present! Gladion Master Fair Scout is also available, requiring paid gems. This scout gives the same rewards as the regular Gladion Master Fair Scout for the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout. In addition, players who team up with Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna in this scout will also receive a Sprint Roll Cake item, which is required to unlock their EX Role.

Lillie and Lusamine Master Fair Scouts
Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala and Sygna Suit Lusamine & Necrozma, who last featured in Master Fair Scout in early 2023, will each be making their return in their own Master Fair Scouts. Lillie's scout will run from February 20th at 10:00pm (PST), through to March 22nd at 10:59pm (PDT), while Lusamine's scout will start and end two days later, running from February 22nd at 10:00pm (PST), through to March 24th at at 10:59pm (PDT). Both pairs are receiving upgrades alongside these scouts, with Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala receiving a new Tech EX Role, while Sygna Suit Lusamine & Necrozma receives a new Support EX Role.

10-Pair Scout
Until March 17th at 9:59pm (PST), players will receive up to 10 special 10-Pair Scout Tickets as log-in bonuses, at a rate of one ticket per day. These tickets can be used exclusively in a 10-Pair Scout, which will remain available in-game until March 24th at 9:59pm (PST). Additionally, as noted in the trailer, previous Poké Fair Scout-exclusive Sync Pairs will also be added to this 10-Pair Scout. The trailer showcases 43 different Sync Pairs who will apparently be included in this scout, including recently released fan faves such as Iono and Grusha. More information, including offering rates and the last day these scout tickets can be redeemed, will be available once this scout has gone live in-game.
