A host of content is making a return to Pokémon Masters EX this March, with re-runs of past Story Events and Legendary Arena battles, and another chance to obtain Iris (Champion) & Hydreigon. A new Egg Event is also running, giving players a chance to obtain eggs for a selection of Fairy- and Normal-Type Pokémon.

Shining Heart of Dragons Event Rerun
Focused on Iris and her fellow Champions Diantha and Lance, this event follows Iris as she explores Pasio and learns to understand what it means to be a Champion. The event is available in-game now, and will be running through until March 23rd, 2022, at 9:59pm (PST). During this event, players can earn Prize Coins from battles, which can be used to draw items from a Prize Box pool, including 5★ Scout Tickets, Power-Ups, Skill Spheres, and Move Candy Coins. Players can also obtain Gems and Event Medals for completing special missions during the event. Players can claim these rewards even if they have previously completed the event during it's original run between March 18th and April 2nd, 2021.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • The number of plays available for Challenge the Dragon Types are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Items remaining in each prize box are no longer obtainable after proceeding to the next prize pool.
  • Leftover Prize Coins will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per Prize Coin at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes

Iris Poké Fair Scout
5★ Iris (Champion) & Hydreigon will also be available to players through a Poké Fair scout. 5★ Iris (Champion) & Hydreigon are a Fair-exclusive 5★ Dragon-Type Sync Pair with an expanded sync grid, and the ability to be raised to 6★ EX.

As usual, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 10% chance of appearing in this Poké Fair scout, with Iris (Champion) & Hydreigon having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs in the general pool. The scout banner will remain available until March 23rd, 2022, at 9:59pm (PST).

Fairy- and Normal-Type Egg Event
In this event, players will be able to receive Eggs from Professor Bellis that will hatch into one of a selection of Fairy- and Normal-Type Pokémon. The Pokémon that can be hatched from these Eggs include Munchlax, Happiny, Cleffa, Porygon, and Igglybuff, with the first three of these having the possibility of being Shiny. A limited-time incubator will also be added to Bellis's Lab for the duration of this event. If an Egg is still in the limited-time incubator when the event ends, the limited-time incubator will remain active until that Egg hatches. This event will run through until March 23rd, 2022, at 9:59pm (PST).

Several special missions will be available during the event period. As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving Eggs if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the higher their Egg reward rate will be. The applicable Sync Pairs and Egg reward rates are as follows:

  • Player Character Sync Pairs: +40% (×1.4) Egg Reward Rate
  • Fairy- and Normal-type Player Character sync pairs: +80% (×1.8) Egg Reward Rate
  • Other Fairy- and Normal-type sync pairs: +20% Egg Reward Rate (×1.2)
These bonuses stack additively, so having 1 Player Character Fairy- or Normal-type Sync Pair, and two other Fairy- or Normal-type sync pairs would give a combined bonus of +120% (x2.2)

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Players cannot receive Eggs from Professor Bellis by completing areas outside of this event during this event period.

Legendary Arena: Cresselia
A powerful opponent arrives as Cresselia returns to the Legendary Arena. In the Legendary Arena, trainers must complete a set of challenges using up to 30 sync pairs. New event missions have been added for this re-run of the event, offering trainers an opportunity to gain additional gems by completing specific challenges. The Legendary Arena is open right now, and can be challenged up until March 23rd, 2022, at 9:59pm (PST). Cresselia was last available in the Legendary Arena in September 2021.

Cresselia is weak to Dark-type moves. While on its first HP bar, Cresselia will boost its stats with Double Team and Calm Mind and use Special Damage Reduction and its Brain Barrier 8 passive skill to reduce special damage; on harder difficulties, it will use its Go Viral 9 passive skill to allow its Thunder Wave to paralyze the player's entire team. On its second HP bar, it will switch to using Physical Damage Reduction and its Brawn Barrier 8 passive skill to reduce physical damage, and it will also add Stat Reduction Defense to its side of the field; on harder difficulties, it will use its Go Viral 9 passive skill to allow its Toxic to badly poison the player's entire team, and on Very Hard, it will gradually heal itself. On its third HP bar, Cresselia will continue its Physical Damage Reduction and Stat Reduction Defense, and it will add Status Move Defense and Status Condition Defense to its side of the field. After the first and second bars are depleted, Cresselia will use the Sure Hit Next and Critical Hit Next effects together with moves that damage the player's whole party.

As with all Legendary Arenas, players must have passed Chapter 2: Defeat Team Break in the main story on normal mode in order to participate in this event.
