Pokémon Masters EX - Update
A new version of Pokémon Masters EX, version 2.35.0, is now available to download. This relatively minor update will enable players to invite Calem to the Trainer Lodge, starting from July 31st. The monthly message from the producers of Pokémon Masters EX has also revealed details on the upcoming conclusion to the Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc, including information on new Poké Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs that will launch along this story update. The producers also provide a brief preview of events coming to Pokémon Masters EX with the final Villain Arc chapter at the end of August, during the game's 4-year anniversary. The next letter from the producers is slated to be released sometime mid-August, before the run-up to that anniversary begins.

The full changelog from the Version 2.35.0 update can be read here.

Calem arrives to the Trainer Lodge

User Interface Improvements
Minor quality of Life changes have been made with the addition of a button to the area completion screen for some areas to bring players directly to the next area info. The timing for skipping story in some area info has also been adjusted.

Leon (Alt.) & Dragapult
Additional story content and sync pairs coming with the conclusion of the
Villain Arc's Galar Chapter this weekend

The Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc enters its final phase this weekend, from Sunday July 30th. This chapter features Rose and his assistant Oleana arriving on Pasio, as they come into a conflict with Leer over how Sync Stones are used, with Rose proposing the power of the stones be tapped for their energy. As Rose pushes his vision of a solution to energy problems, Leon and the other trainers from Galar will need to work together to stop Rose's reckless actions. A new Villain Event, Hear the Cheers!, will be running alongside the launch of this new story content, offering players the opportunity to power up Hop & Zamazenta. Two new sync pairs will also be appearing in special Poke Fair scouts in conjunction with this new story content.

This chapter is a permanent addition to the main story. Players will need to have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player in order to unlock this and other chapters of the Main Story Villain Arc.

Leon (Alt.) & Dragapult are a Dragon-type Tech Sync Pair, whose moves and skills focus on debuffing opponents stats to disrupt the opposition. Their Unfortunate Strike 9 Passive Skill lowers by one stat rank the Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness (chosen at random) of any opponent they hit. This can be combined with their B Breaking Swipe Buddy Move, which hits all Pokémon on the opponent's team and lowers their Attack, Defense, and Speed by one stat rank each; as well as their Dragon Darts Move, which hits twice in a row (lowering a stat with each hit), and their. Leon (Alt.) & Dragapult have the ability to Dynamax, and can also be raised to 6★ EX, which in addition to boosting stats and providing a new outfit for Leon will also unlock Song Key 08013, which allows "Decisive Battle! (Leon) (Pokémon Masters EX Version)" to be played in the Jukebox.

Leon (Alt.) & Dragapult's Poké Fair scout will begin from July 30th at 11:00pm (PDT), and continue until August 18th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace
Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace are a Tech Sync Pair with the unusual ability to change their sync move type and passive moves once per battle via Max Moves. By using either Max Airstream or Max Knuckle, the pair can switch their Sync Move's type to Flying or Fighting respectively. On using any Max Move, the pair's Ace Passive Skill will also lower the target's Type Rebuff for the corrosponding Type of the move by 2 ranks.

Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace's Poké Fair scout will begin from August 1st at 11:00pm (PDT), and continue until August 18th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Galar Villain Social Rally
The Galar Villain Social Rally Part 2 is currently being held on the official English and Japanese (formerly Twitter) accounts for Pokémon Masters EX. As of the time of writing, almost 8,000 RTs have already been made combined between the English and Japanese tweets, meaning fans should soon secure 30 5★ Scout Tickets, however players will need to reach 20,000 RTs total before unlocking the additional reward of 25x 5★ Power-Up Ticket and 50x Champion Spirit is unlocked. Assuming all rewards are unlocked, these will be available to claim between August 15th, at 11:00pm (PDT), and September 15th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Legendary Arena - Cobalion
Event Missions for Cobalion in the Legendary Arena

Limited-time event missions for Cobalion in the Legendary Arena have now launched, and will run through until August 10th at 10:59pm (PDT), offering trainers an opportunity to earn an 1,000 gems by completing specific challenges. In the Legendary Arena, trainers must complete a set of challenges using up to 30 sync pairs. Originally only available as time-limited events, the Arena was opened permanently following the September 2022 update, allowing players to challenge these battles whenever they like.

Cobalion was the second Pokémon to be added to the Legendary Arena, joining the roster all the way back in July 2020. While weak to Fire-type moves, Cobalion is resistant to all damage thanks to Healthy Advantage 8 passive skill. This protection can be negated by inflicting Cobalion with a status condition, although its resistance to any status condition increases each time Cobalion recovers from one, until it becomes immune. Having a selection of Status Condition inflicting moves, or the ability to bypass this immunity in some way, will be key to securing victory.

To challenge the Legendary Arena, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 2: Defeat Team Break! (Normal) in single-player.

Final chapters of the Villain Arc to release in August
The last Paulo Chapter for the Villain Arc will release sometime in August, in the run-up to Pokémon Masters EX's 4-year anniversary, and will be accompanied by a special Mission Bingo. This will then be followed by the final chapter of the Villain Arc during the anniversary at the end of August.
