Pokémon Masters EX's Run-Up to 2.5 Years continues with more Scout banners, Team Rocket event re-runs, and the addition of Victory Road

Kanto is getting special attention in Pokémon Masters EX as we get closer to the game's 2.5 Year Anniversary, with reruns of more Team Rocket themed Villain and Extreme Battle Events, as well as special Scout banners including Select, Spotlight, and Ticket Scouts. Additionally, the Pokémon Masters EX Fan Art Festival Returns, giving artistic players a chance to win in-game gems and be featured in a commemorative video.

Villain Event: Spreading Shadows
Focused on Team Rocket, this event follows Giovanni as he executes his plans for Paiso. This event prelude originally ran from September 30th to October 16th, 2021. Players will receive Event Voucher K for completing battles in this event, which can be redeemed in the Exchange Items menu for a variety of items including Support Move Candy Coins, 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets; as well as Mewtwo Crystals, that can be exchanbged for items to give a Giovanni & Mewtwo a power boost. Players will be able to obtain these rewards even if they previously completed the Villain Event during it's original run.

Unlike regular Story Events, this Villain Event does not include any lineup bonuses to increase battle rewards. There are however special bonuses for Kanto Sync Pairs, who will have increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00 p.m. (PST)
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher K items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.

Double Feature Spotlight Scout:
5★ Sygna Suit Misty & Vaporeon and 5★ Sygna Suit Erika & Leafeon are returning to Pokémon Masters EX in a unique Double Feature Spotlight Scout. Both of these pairs were available in their own individual Spotlight Scouts during the original run of the Spreading Shadows event in 2021. As usual, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 10% chance of appearing in this scout, with the two featured pairs will have a higher chance of appearing than other pairs. Players lucky enough to scout either of these sync pairs from this banner will also receive a Custom ★ Power-Up item for that sync pair, up to a maximum of 15 Custom ★ Power-Ups for each sync pair from this scout banner. For more information on the apperance rates for specific characters, go to the Offering Rate section on the Sync Pair Scout screen.

Sygna Suit Misty & Vaporeon is a 5★ Water-type Tech sync pair with 6★ EX potential. Their moves are focused on stat manipulation, allowing them to remove opponent's buffs, apply debuffs, and boost their own team's Defense and Special Defense.

Sygna Suit Erika & Leafeon is a 5★ Grass-type Tech sync pair with 6★ EX potential. The pair uses Sunny Weather effects to set up and deliver powerful Grass-type Attacks, as well as to boost it's own power.

This scout banner will remain available until March 6th at 9:59pm (PST).

Kanto-only 5★-Select Scout
In addition to the Double Feature Spotlight Scout, a 5★-Select Scout will also be available. Requiring 2000 paid gems, this scout allows players to select a 5★ Sync Pair from a limited pool of Kanto trainers, including both Sygna Suit pairs from the Spotlight Scout, on top of a regular 11x scout. This scout banner will remain available until March 6th at 9:59pm (PST).

Extreme Battle Event: Giovanni's Malice
This event, which originally ran from October 1st to 16th, 2021 as a follow up to the Spreading Shadows event and the Team Rocket Returns Main Story chapter, pits players in an extreme battle against the Team Rocket leader, Giovanni. As suggested by the name, these battles are significantly more difficult than normal battles, and offer players a variety of rewards for completion. Players who completed the Extreme Battle Event during it's original run will still be able to receive all rewards. This event will be available until March 6th at 9:59pm (PST).

Just like the Villaint Event it accompanies, Kanto Sync Pairs will receive increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Fan Art Festival Returns
As part of celebrating both the upcoming anniversary and the talented artists of the Pokémon Fandom, Pokémon Masters EX will be running the Fan Art Festival Returns Contest, offering players a chance to win up to 40,000 gems, and to have their work featured by Pokémon Masters EX's official social media channels. While this has been labeled an "Art" contest, entries are not limited to static drawings. Videos, songs, comics, and other forms of artwork are all acceptable.

Entries must be of artist's own original work, and include sync pairs or characters included in or officially announced for Pokémon Masters EX. Entries must also include some form of proof to creation, such as original linework, and cannot be publicly available prior to the end of the submission deadline (so no Twitch streaming your creation process). 10-Pair Scout and Log-in Bonus
Until March 16th at 9:59pm (PST), players will receive up to 10 special 10-Pair Scout Tickets as log-in bonuses, at a rate of one ticket per day. These tickets can be used exclusively in a 10-Pair Scout, which will be avaiulable until March 23rd at 9:59pm (PST). This scout banner includes all Sync Pairs within the general pool, including 5★ Sync Pairs.

Additional Anniversary Content Coming Soon
Victory Road will be added to Pokémon Masters EX on February 23rd at 10pm (PST). Victory Road is designed to help players quickly power up their team. Players who complete Victory Road will additionally be able to team up with their choice of Sygna Suit Red & Charizard, Sygna Suit Blue & Blastoise, or Sygna Suit Leaf & Venusaur, as well as receive up to 5,000 gems.

May (Anniversary 2022) & Latios will be making their in-game debut on February 27th at 10pm (PST). They are a Psychic-type Tech Sync Pair, who can use the Psychic WIsh move to create Psychic Terrain.
