They haven't confirmed any Sword/Shield characters for the game yet, but I don't see why they wouldn't do that eventually. They already had some characters talk about the Galar region around the time the games first came out, so they aren't avoiding them. ]

I think Iris talked about it. Maybe when the next set of chapters come out.

I'm hoping the next chapters will include Sonia.

I think it's an error, that they put Flint and Shantual in the wrong.

Now I wonder if Juan will appear. Masters universe seems to be more canon to RSORAS. So I am also wondering who the canon Black protagonist is while who is the White? And why is Misty in LGPE attire? Is it because her HGSS attire had shorter haid?

I wouldn't really say that Masters is canon to any of the main series games. I think it's easier to go with it as its own continuity with some nods to the main games with their characterizations. I think that they just randomly decided to put Misty in her Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee outfit, especially when Brock was put in his FR/LG outfit.

I'm not a fan of the format of the Ho Oh event. Requiring players to unlock the next stage of the event through a raffle just seems like a forced and unnecessary way to make players grind for the coins more so than they would have otherwise. I just hope that they'll do something different for the next time they set up the event.

Agreed. And without the 3 boosts a day, the grinding goes slow as heck as well.

I think that they just randomly decided to put Misty in her Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee outfit, especially when Brock was put in his FR/LG outfit.

Brock was in his HGSS desgin, not FRLG. But all the other gym leaders (except Giovanni and Blue) are in their FRLG desgins.

And will Juan appear?

I think it’s mistake. Flint and Shantual are in the wrong places during co-op. @Hidden Mew, why do think that is? Either that or they should've put Shantual as an earned Main Story sync pair.

It's as weird as Scooby Doo and Guess Who?'s animation.

I’m sure he will. These kind of games bait out of nostalgia and “husbando/waifu” from players, and I’d imagine that Juan have a pretty good cult following since he’s a gym leader. I’m sure Misty’s HGSS outfit will appear as a Sygna Suit, it’s what these Gacha games do, to bait out people who want their spouse.

Technically, there was a bit of cross promotion with some of the trainers like Rosa and Blue talking about the Galar region for awhile after the games came out. I believe that there was also a notification for Sword/Shield at least on the day they came out, if not shortly before. It's still pretty minimal cross promotion, but it was still kind of there. I'm sure that we'll still get a Galar trainer eventually, but maybe they wanted to wait until a big milestone like the first year anniversary of either Masters or Sword/Shield. Plus, they are primarily focused on the nostalgia aspect with most of the character choices thus far.

I'm really enjoying this Ho-Oh event so far. The prize pool mechanic is admittedly a bit wonky, but I really like the idea of getting sync candies to boost 5☆ pairs. It's a godsend for a poor F2P player like myself.

The harder battles are also a breath of fresh air, tbh. I've actually needed to strategize to beat UH Ho-Oh, even with the recommended spotlight pairs.

The prize pool mechanic might have worked better if it was easier to get tickets for the item boost. After the first three times using the item boost, you have to wait four hours to get a single item boost, which is just cruel. Like I mentioned before, it feels like such a forced and artificial way to require players to keep grinding for coins. Getting coins for battling Ho-Oh a certain number of times as event missions would have also worked. That can also feel tedious, especially when that is more typical with some of their other events, but battling Ho Oh fifty times would have felt worthwhile if I could get at least a hundred coins just for doing it.

I haven't gotten Silver yet, but I kind of hope that they'll eventually introduce Synga Suit Silver just so he can battle with Sneasel. That's probably the Pokemon most associated with him next to Feraligatr and after that scene where Lance talks to Silver, I kind of would like to see the two of them battling together. Plus, having another good Dark type would be really helpful. Another good Ice type Sync Pair would also work.

Yeah, the grind for coins is the worst. Especially on Ultra Hard Ho-oh, where the amount of coins received is nowhere near worth the amount of effort many players will put in to beat the stage. I think I got 18 with the boost in rewards. I'd be able to get more just through grinding the easier stages in the same amount of time. Six coins for that level is a joke. It sucks because even after all that grinding, you can't even max its sync move or potential as with the other legendary Pokemon.

Dark/Ice Sneasel would probably be the way to go for a Sygna suit for Silver. As for ice types themselves, aside from Sina and Melony as ice-type specialists, I'd like to see Sygna Suit Candice with Froslass since it was her Pt ace...

Standard Misty probably wouldn’t have worked because people didn’t like how her hair was shorter in HGSS. Why have Wallace gym leader then? I think I know why. Because you see that Masters isn’t in fully CGI like in SwSh. Brendan is a d*ck because DeNA chose him over May.

Wallace is leagues ahead of Juan in popularity, so I suppose that's why he's there instead. ORAS being a remake of RS doesn't help Juan in any way either, since he's now even more likely to be ignored.

No! My point was why Wallace is not his Emerald characteristic. I'm trying to answer why the SwSh characters haven't appeared yet. And you see that it might be hard for SwSh characters to change to slightly less CGI animation compared from Master to SwSh.

Maybe May is the canon Alpha Sapphire protagonist. Dawn is from Pearl universe. Not sure about Serena. Calem is wearing his hat which he doesn’t do as a rival. It just feels weird to give Brendan a chance of being the canon Gen III protagonist.

I started playing in February so I don't know how the game compares to the time before then, but the general consensus of the playerbase seems to be that the game is doing well now. DeNA has been listening to feedback and I've already seen some improvements being made despite my short time with the game.

Naturally, there are always things that can be improved and be even better than they currently are. Additionally, how much better the game is as of now is somewhat subjective and depends on what you want to get out of the game. Personally, I'm having a lot of fun and I think I'll be sticking with the game for a long time.
