Hello Trainers! It’s Travelin’ Dan, back from my month of rest and relaxation. I was having some issues with being very worn out. Consider that I had been traveling non stop for many months, through many locations, all around the world. I want to thank my friends for continuing my travels for me these last few weeks. I am so happy they were able to fill in. With me now traveling again, I find myself in Lumiose City, Kalos, here to celebrate Newspaper Columnists Day. I am meeting with Alexa, sister of Viola, Gym Leader of Santalune City. She is the head editor of the Lumiose Press, and more often than not, its major columnist.
Heading down Estival Avenue, I pop into her office. Her friendly face greets me. After asking her for an interview, she sits with me. Looking around her office, I see many articles that are framed, work that is clearly items of pride. She has been all over the world, at each Region, seeing many different subjects. She opened with, “What would you like to discuss with me?” I asked her what it was like to be the face of news throughout Kalos. “Oh, it’s fascinating, traveling throughout Kalos, interviewing people, important or not, on the subjects of the day.” Changing the subject, she stated that she knew me from my show, and she was an admirer, even showing me a photo of me that she maintained in her office. I was honored, having admired her for several years.
I had a few more questions for her, such as, “What is your favorite story you experienced,” to which she responded, “My favorite story was from when I was in the Decolore Islands, traveling with this Trainer named Ash Ketchum as he headed back home from Unova. We spent many weeks traveling together. He is a very accomplished trainer. When we reached the Kanto Mainland, I got the opportunity to meet the esteemed Professor Oak, expert on Pokemon. I then resumed the journey back to Kalos, continuing to travel with him until he got settled in Kalos. I even watched him battle my sister, Viola, before I departed. I heard he achieved 2nd Place in the tournament. I don’t know what he has been doing since. He is certainly a trainer with a lot of spirit.”
As we wrapped up our meeting, she asked me when I would next be in Kalos, to which I replied that I wasn’t sure. She gave me her phone number, then told me to call her next time and she would head out to meet me. With our meeting concluded, I decided to stay in Lumiose for a while. Next week, Amy is going to Sinnoh for Penguin Day. Until next week, this is Travelin’ Dan and Alexa, signing off.
