Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region to debut in Pokémon GO Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event

Niantic has announced details for the Ultra Unlock Part 3 event in Pokémon GO, which will feature the debut of Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region. Pokémon from Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be appearing from August 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to August 31, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time in this event.

Galarian Darumaka, Trubbish, Skwovet, Wooloo, and more will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Falinks can also be encountered. Galarian Meowth, Galarian Ponyta, Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Farfetch’d, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Darumaka, and Galarian Stunfisk will be hatching from 7 km Eggs. Shiny variants of Galarian Meowth, Galarian Farfetch'd, and Galarian Stunfisk will also make their Pokémon GO debut. You can receive event-exclusive Field Research tasks when you spin PokéStops, which will reward you an encounter with Skwovet, Wooloo, or Falinks. There will also be event-exclusive Timed Research.

Different Pokémon will be appearing in raids during each week of the event. From August 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to August 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Farfetch’d, Unown U, and Galarian Zigzagoon will be appearing in one-star raids. Shiny Galarian Farfetch'd and Unown U can also be encountered. Galarian Weezing, Lapras, and Falinks will be appearing in three-star raids, with Shiny Galarian Weezing making its Pokémon GO debut. Zacian in its Hero of Many Battles form will be appearing in five-star raids. Mega Beedrill will be appearing in Mega Raids.

A Raid Hour event featuring Zacian will be happening on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.

From August 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to September 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Galarian Meowth, Galarian Ponyta, Unown U, and Galarian Darumaka will be in one-star raids. Snorlax, Galarian Stunfisk, and Falinks will be appearing in three-star raids. Zamazenta in its Hero of Many Battles form will be appearing in five-star raids. Mega Pidgeot will be appearing in Mega Raids.

A bonus Raid Hour featuring Zamazenta will be happening on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.

Starting from August 19, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7), uniforms that appear in the Galar region will be available as avatar items. The Gym Challenger Uniform avatar item will be available for free, which is worn by Pokémon Trainers challenging Gyms in the Galar region. Dragon-Type Sport Uniform and Dark-Type Sport Uniform will be purchasable in the shop. Starting from August 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, event-exclusive Gift stickers will also be available. Receive them by picking them up in the shop or by spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops and Gyms.
