Pokémon Players Cup 25th Anniversary Invitational to be held on August 13-15; will be streamed live on Pokémon's Twitch channel

The Pokémon Company International has announced the Pokémon Players Cup 25th Anniversary Invitational, an event spotlighting some of the best competitive Pokémon players ever, as part of the continuing celebrations for the twenty-fifth anniversary of Pokémon. The event will feature the top eight Pokémon TCG players and top eight video game players from around the world in exciting head-to-head matches. These top players will face off in a double-elimination bracket, with the winner being crowned the champion of champions. It has not yet been announced who the sixteen invited players will be, though most likely they will include a number of past Pokémon World Championship winners. The event will be broadcast live on the official Pokémon Twitch channel on August 13–15, 2021.
