Nearly a year since it began... The end is here...

----

Not long after the events of the first of the first chapter ended, an assailant sent Headmaster Warren to his deathbed and managed to escape. Though Warren is still alive, he lies on the brink of death; the assailant had accomplished all he sought to: The Pokémon Private Summer Academy is crumbling around them.

... but your journey isn't over yet.

A final competition has risen up from the ashes, and it will prove to be the greatest manifestation of human endeavor the world has ever seen. Exceptional trainers, coordinators, and breeders from all across the world have come to the island, hoping to take on Warren's legacy as the greatest trainer on Earth.

The adventure ahead won't be easy. Your task is to scale the island, going from the high peaks of the mountains, to the bitter winds of the snowy tundra, the harsh sun of the deserts to the sprawling trees of the forests, searching for the Five Relics. Only when you have them will you be headed for the final trial: a battle with Headmaster Warren and his right hand man at the lavish Midnight Manor. Among your opponents will be your fellow newcomers, veterans of the school, teachers, and even the legendary Gang of Five. The only alliances you have are the ones you dare to make.

A true test of strength and will is upon you. You'll have to learn from your opponents, grow with your Pokémon, and be willing to risk it all if you want to come out on top. Will you take the chance and form an alliance? Will you fight alone, depending upon your resolve and the bond you share with your Pokémon to lead you to victory? Or will you rely on your cunning, using the unexplored island and your opponents to your advantage? How you shape your final chapter at the Pokémon Private Summer Academy is up to you.

----

(For those of you who aren't familiar with the first PPSA, here's the original sign-up.)

In this RPG you can play more than one character (at this point there's no limit), but you don’t have to. As there are no set alliances in this RPG, unlike the first PPSA, feel free to create and name your own "team" and spend time in the actual RPG (or outside of it, if you wish) to recruit members (though if you recruit people outside of the RPG, please state so in the actual role-play). You can also choose to be a teacher at the academy, whatever subject you wish, though there are no classes taking place in the RPG and it would merely serve as a title.

BIG thanks to everyone returning for our little reunion! ;D

Rules
  • As always, basic RPG rules apply
  • No godmodding
  • I don't have a problem with healthy competition, mostly because this is a more competitive RPG than most, but keep it respectful
  • I'm pretty lenient on language, as long as it's not insulting
  • Put "Starfish Prime" in your sign-up so I know you read the rules
  • Use good grammar, spelling, and overall mechanics. It'll just make things go a lot smoother
  • Have fun!

Sign-ups

*NOTE: If you're using a character from the first RPG, you don't have to rewrite the sing-up forms; you can just post them as they were here. However, since this one takes place about a year after the first one, if you want to update your characters, feel free.

*NOTE 2: If you'd like to play any of the members of the Gang of Five, feel free to create a sign-up for them. If you're not sure who they are but are still interested, just ask me here or in a PM or VM.

Re: Pokémon Private Summer Academy: Phoenix

Can I have a reserved spot please?

Re: Pokémon Private Summer Academy: Phoenix

The order's a little messed up... :p

Name: Joseph and Joshua “The Clones” Antonimous

Age: 14

Gender:
Male

Coordinators

Appearance: Joe and Josh stand tall for their age at six foot, and have a pale complexion. They have black, messy hair (though Joshes is approximately an inch longer) and bright, turquoise eyes. They have slightly longer and sharper canine teeth than average, meaning they can make them protrude slightly from their mouths and back again. They each have a scar on the side of their face (left for Joe, right for Josh) because they were born Siamese.

They usually wear black, sometimes “mixing-it-up” with blue’s, green’s and pinks. They’re never seen without a pair of fingerless gloves (style may vary). They each have a silver chain around their neck that have a small, glass vile on it which is said to contain the water from the lake of a Lugia. They wear them for good luck.

Personality: They’re very sarcastic and stubborn. They both love music, and as such, always have a large shell flute on their possession. They care for one another, and rarely trust others. They both have mild ADHD (Josh also has MDS (Mild Depression Syndrome)) which causes them to be hyperactive at inappropriate times,. Because of this, and several other *ahem* contributing factors, outsiders consider them to be insane, often referring them to people who can “help” them.

History: They were born in Snowpoint City, Sinnoh. They had a normal and happy childhood, often visiting the Snowpoint Gym (where their mother was the Gym Leader) up until they were six, when their mother died from breast cancer, leaving Candice to take over the Gym.

They never knew their father, as their mother went to a sperm bank and never married, so they moved to Pallet Town in Kanto to live with their Aunt Delia. There, at age ten, they began their journey. They travelled the four regions, competing in contests and various tag-events.

Pokemon:

Joe: Veanasaur, Pigeot, Umbreon, Arbok, Dewgong, Houndoom.
Josh: Charizard, Pachirisu, Espeon, Ambipom, Gyrados, Mighteana.

Also, I'll play play Violet LaVoie (Fire/Water trainer of the Gang of Five).

Name: Archibald "Archie" Smithe
Age: 34

Gender: Male

Breeder

Appearance: Has a two-foot long blue duck tail jutting out of his head. This hairdo is kept in place with enough hair gell that it has condensed into a solid mass, about the consistency of rock. When students irritate him, he enjoys hitting them with his dastardly 'do. He stands about 7'2, and weighs 270 pounds. He bears a network of scars across his body, due to his... unique teaching methods.

He wears mirrored, pink heart-shaped shades, which conceal his creepy gray eyes, a pink tiki shirt, which is usually a little unbottoned to reveal his body-builder-esque tattooed chest, and green jeans, and yellow sandals.

Personality: Errathc. One minute, he's crying his eyes out, the next yelling and hitting people with his hair, the next laughing and dancing on the table. However, when teaching, he's usually dead serious.

History: Whenever asked, he gives a different, extremely fantastical account, usually involving frog aliens, womanizing wheel-chair bound government agents, Japanese raccoon spirits, greek gods, and drug-induced epiphanies. (If you get the reference, have a cookie, you Prime Starfish!)

Pokemon: Lopunny, Infernape, Staravia, Medicham, Exploud, Hariyama

Other Info: Serves as first aid teacher and janitor.

Promise this guy's not a Stu! Speaking of which, how's the fanfic of the last Academy going? And wait, it's not an Academy if there are no classes!
Starfish Prime, by the way.

Grim Heaper: Denied. Read the rules and use the form in the original post.

Anonymous: The twins are accepted. However, I won't approve people for the Gang of Five until right before we start.

Could you reserve me a spot please? Thanks in advance :)

I did put the thing the rules say to in my sign-up. It's in the history. And also outside the sign-up now.

Copy and pasted with some changes

Name: Ellery Ferrer
Gender: Male
Age: 15

Appearance: He has short black hair with tan colored skin, he wears a red sleeveless vest opened up and a white undershirt. He wears a pair of white jogging shoes and blue goggles on his head. His eyes are green colored and he has strong arms. He also has a red cell phone hanging from his right jean pocket

Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder: Trainer and Breeder

Personality: He can be very childish at times or sometimes he could be as serious as it gets. Doesn't really care about a lot of stuff and just likes to say his opinion and end it, he can be a real pain if he's messed with though. He's a bit of a loud mouth as well and hates getting his pride torn.

Pokemon: Luxray, Staraptor, Empoleon, Charizard, Tangrowth, Gallade

History: He's a good Trainer having won sixteen badges from both Kanto and Johto, he has also defeated the Kanto Elite four and two members of the Johto Elite four. He's a great boxer, his also a good runner having won a lot of competitions. He has decided to attend PPSA to show what he's worth. He was in PPSA last year he wasn't really well liked since he tended to act overconfident which is something he has worked on to some degree. Ellery has grown into having a personal goal to defeat at least one person in the Gang of 5 which is why he's trained so hard in the past year

Starfish Prime by the way

X Resistance: Accepted. Welcome back ;D

The Grim Heaper: Thank you, that's much better, but I'd prefer you took out that part about him "popping out of trash cans and entering rooms through the ceiling," as being able to randomly appear could come off as godmoddish.

GoldenrodGirl: Sure thing! Reserved

Copy-pasted from original sign up, with a few changes

Name: Charles Samuel Walker, aka Chase

Gender: male

Age: 19

Appearance: Chase has shaggy, dirty blonde hair, longish by boy standards, and dark blue eyes, just like his sister. His skin is tanned, also the same as hers. He is 5'7" and has one pierced ear, his left, with a gold sun earring with a ruby in the middle of it that was put in when he was a baby. He wears sandals, blue jeans, and a light blue polo shirt with a red ankh insignia.

Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder: Trainer, usually does double battles with his sister; breeder

Pokémon: Lucario, Honchkrow, Arcanine, Poliwrath, Magnezone, Gyarados (shiny)

Personality: Though the younger of the two twins, Chase is extremely protective of his sister Cadence. He's got a bit of a temper, but generally he is cheerful and friendly, and passionate about what he believes in. At times, he can be mistrustful, and he usually has very accurate first impressions of people. He is a bit of a klutz at times, but absolutely dedicated to Cadence and his pokemon. His battle strategy relies mainly on 'hit-and-run' tactics, with high-powered offence and not much concentration on defense. His favorite types are Fire, Fighting, Bug, and Steel, and he often tag-teams with Cadence for battles, though he is more than capable of battling on his own.

History: Shared with his sister (see below)

----------

Name: Cadence Maria Walker, aka Cadi

Gender: female

Age: 19

Appearance: Cadence has long, dirty blonde hair which she usually keeps tied back in a ponytail, and the same blue eyes and tanned skin as her brother. She stands at 5' 6 1/2", just slightly shorter than Chase, and is often mistaken for a long-haired boy at first glance. She wears a brown shirt, jeans, and a pair of black shoes. Her ears are also pierced, though unlike Chase, she had both ears pierced as a baby instead of just one. In her left ear, she wears a Murkrow feather hanging from a sapphire-like jewel; in her right, she wears an emerald stud.

Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder: Trainer, often tag-teams with her brother Chase; has dabbled in contests

Pokémon: Dragonite, Umbreon, Clefable, Mismagius, Mawile, Porygon2

Personality: Cadence is the calmer half of the duo, often the voice of rational thought when Chase's temper gets out of hand. She's extremely logical and methodical, and this has led her to be an excellent strategist in battles. Her style is to boost her team's defense, then hammer away at her opponent with super-effective moves. This makes her a slightly more efficient battler on her own than Chase, who is constantly trying to match her. However, her social skills leave a bit to be desired.

History: Chase and Cadence were born in Canalave City, where their father was a sailor. They were very close throughout their childhood, so when their parents split up when they were about six, their mother taking Cadence to her hometown of Snowpoint City, they were devastated. Chase stayed behind with his father in Canalave, who often took his son out on his boat when he got a little older in an effort to distract him from the sister he knew he missed. The twins finally and joyfully reunited in Sandgem Town on their tenth birthday, and have been traveling together ever since. The separation caused Chase to become very overprotective of Cadence, sometimes to her annoyance; he has promised himself that he will never let anyone take her away from him again. They have each won all the badges of Sinnoh, Johto, and Kanto, though due to circumstances beyond their control, they have not yet been able to travel to Hoenn. However, they have both competed in the Leagues of the regions they have traveled to. Each time, Cadence has advanced a little further than Chase, and both have always made it into the top ten, but neither have ever won a League Championship.

They attended PPSA the year before, only to get mixed up in the events that happened. Cadi in particular is out for answers, and though Chase is strangely more willing to let it slide, he's there to help his sister -- to the bitter end, if necessary.

YES! I was hoping you'd use Cadi and Chase XD I really liked them while I was reading through the 131 pages of the old roleplay :p

Haha, well, it can't exactly be much of a sequel without the old characters! ^_^

Oh, I forgot. Starfish Prime.

Hey, can I have a spot reserved? I'll post my sign-up later.

Edit: talked to CB about this already.

Name: Durante "Dante" Villalobos

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance:
-Physical: 5'07"; 178 lbs.; metallic gray hair; deep sapphire eyes; slightly pale skin; medium build; long-distance runner's build
-Clothing: Black slack-like pants; black combat boot, mostly undone; red long two tailed coat with a black ankh sewn onto his right shoulder and a eye on his left; gray plain shirt; tan gloves that exposes the index fingers; aviator glasses;

Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder: Trainer through and through

Pokémon (up to 6):
"Cerberus" [Houndoom; Male; Shiny]
"Nevan" [Gardevoir; Female; Shiny]
"Beowulf" [Infernape; Male; Normal]
"Agni" [Magmar; Male; Normal]
"Rudra" [Swellow; Male; Normal]
"Trey/Treachery" [Weavile; Male; Normal]

Personality: Dante is rather flippant, mouthing off to even the most influential people that can quite possibly ruin his life. He is unflappable, and doesn't show the meaning of the word "fear". While he's isn't serious most of the time, he can be when the situation calls for it, but he still maintains a fairly laid-back demeanor during such situations and is never without a witty taunt or comeback. At times, he seems to be uncaring or even callous, but actually has a very strong sense of justice and prefers to fight fairly. Hence why in his entire history as a trainer, he never used stat-boosting items like Carbos or Zinc. He can be counted on to do the right thing, even if he makes cynical quips about it the entire time.

History: Dante grew up to a rather oddity, though he blames his birthday, which just so happens to be Halloween. At an early age, he grew interested in Greek mythology, in particular Herakles (Hercules by the early Romans). As the years pass, he dived into mythology proper, reading various books on mythology, from Hawaiian to Native American to the Egyptians, even demonology. His father, Cortes, was a police lieutenant until he lost his left lower leg after a truck ran it over during a drug bust and it had to be amputated, then was transferred to a desk job. His mother, Eva, is an author, and is writing a series based on the various books her son has read, with the main protagonist based on him.

Additional Info: He has a photo within his coat pocket of him and his parents before dad's accident. He also has a tribal tattoo covering his entire back, twisted into a shark head. Tattooed onto his right shoulder is the Eye of Horus.

Starfish Prime: "Transform and roll out!"

Name: Clark Wenworth
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Appearance: Clark has a slender, almost feminine looking, body and powdered cocoa skin. His lunar white hair makes him east to spot in any crowd. Clark has big, chocolate brown, puppy dog eyes and lips that look lip glossed. He usually wears a light blue and yellow tie and a tight white button up shirt with "Noon" embroidered in small letters over the pocket. Mr. Wentworth's pants are faded black and rather tight. When he is going out he usually throws on a black blazer with "Noon" embroidered subtly on the collar. His shoes are simple, usually leather ones. He has quite an intimidating, professional look about him and is about 5'11.
Subject: Music
Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder: Trainer through and through
Pokémon: Articuno, Dewgong, Swinub and Weavile
Personality: Clark Wentworth is very flirtatious. You know that guy who was always looking for "true love"? He's become your creepy teacher. Mr. Wenworth is very sharp with his students and frankly scares quite a few of them. He can come off as cruel but he very much wants his students to succeed. There is a clear line between who he likes and doesn't-the ones he likes receive heart shaped boxes of chocolate and often unwelcome flirtation and those he doesn't receive nothing but difficult homework. Mr. Wentworth mocks and courts his students but somehow is never fired.
History: There's a reason Clark Wenworth often seems as though he has just blown into town or fallen to Earth. As a child he moved 14 times before he was 10 and shipped off to the PPSA. He left at 16 and started training his Pokémon day and night. He later returned to the PPSA as a teacher to lead a quieter life.
Important, in fact, crucial details that are key to understanding what is at the core of this troubled, albeit intelligent character and his motivations for doing what he does, becoming a teacher, and ultimately realizing his life's goal: STARFISH PRIME~
