Pokemon Refresh Glitch?

I was going through my team on Pokemon Refresh after a battle to clean them/increase their happiness. When I got to my Grubbin, it was facing the wrong way and much smaller than usual. I can pet it, but this does nothing. There is no option to feed it Beans, switch Pokemon, or exit the feature. None of the buttons (X, Y, A, B, Start, Select, the control pad and the circle pad) will do anything. I am simply stuck in Pokemon Refresh with a backwards-facing Pokemon unable to do anything but pet it which has no result/effect.

Is this a glitch? Can this be fixed without restarting to my last save point?
