Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2022
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have taken out multiple awards at Famitsu Dengeki's Game Awards 2022, which were broadcast yesterday evening on Famitsu's official YouTube channel, with the game itself receiving the Best Scenario award, while fan fave Arven picked up an award for Best Character.

Arven wins Best Character
In taking out the Best Scenario award, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet had to fend off tough competition from fellow Nintendo nominees Xenoblade 3, and from the free-to-play turn-based RPG Heaven Burns Red, co-developed by Wright Flyer Studios and Key. Arven faced similarly strong opposition to pick up Best Character, beating out the titular Kirby from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which released in March of last year, as well as Gekka Kayamori from Heaven Burns Red.

Along with these two awards, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet had also received nominations for Game of the Year, Best Music, and Best RPG. In addition, Pokémon Legends: Arceus received it's own nomination for the Game of the Year category, while Game Freak themselves were nominated for Most Valuable Creator.
