To start a Ranked Battle in Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, follow these steps in-game:
- Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select Poké Portal.
- Select Battle Stadium.
- Select Ranked Battles.
Players will be matched up with other players of similar rank to ensure even competition. Players will need to finish at least one match with a win or loss season to be eligible for rewards at the end of the season. The Season 16 rewards include the following:
- Master Ball Tier
- Bitter Herba Mystica x5
- Friend Ball x1
- Gold Bottle Cap ×1
- Bottle Cap ×3
- Ability Patch ×1
- 300,000 League Points
- Ultra Ball Tier

Entries are now closed for this competition, with registration having been open from February 22nd up to the commencement of battling. Trainers are limited to 15 matches per day, however any unused matches will be carried over to Trainer's limits for the next day of the competition. All qualifying Trainers who participate in and complete at least three battles during the event will receive the following as a participation reward, regardless of their win record.

Regulation Set F is running through to April 30th, at 11:59pm (UTC). Under this Regulation Set, Trainers may use any Pokémon numbered 001-398 in the Paldea Pokédex or 001-200 in the Kitakami Pokédex, as well as Pokémon numbered 001-239 and 241-242 in the Blueberry Pokédex, that have been are caught, hatched, and obtained as gifts in either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, as well as Pokémon and Regional Forms from the following list that have been brought from Pokémon HOME.
