Hi everyone .I am not a genius in Pokemon biology but I am very interested to know it .ok let's start this thread how do flamethrower move works ? what chemicals used by Pokemon to create this fire move ?

I think the most plausible answer is that it's a reaction involving methane.

Otherwise, it's not really a biological process, but rather an effect generated at will using combustible material that is already there. If the pokeworld has an atmosphere like our own, then simply by manipulating anything that reacts with oxygen, you can make fire.

It could possibly be hydrogen, but depending on oxygen mixture hydrogen burns with either a blue flame. Releasing at high pressure may cause the temperature to rise to the level where its blows out like fire. Only a possibility tough

I've read that it might use flint and steel-like structures at the back of the throat to create a spark which then ignites a flammable gas (e.g., methane), although it does bring up the question of how its mouth resists being burned, if we're being perfectly scientific.
