During the time leading up to the release of Nintendo's Wii U console, one of the features that was talked about, but until today has remained unused was the Near Field Technology reader/writer ("NFC" for short) on the GamePad. Recently, Nintendo EAD General Manager Shigeru Miyamoto commented that the company would be talking more about its use of this technology in the near future and now we have our first insight into how it will be used.
