To mark the Halloween holiday, Pokémon Sleep will be running its first full fledged in-game event other than the Good Sleep Days that are held every lunar month. Halloween 2023 - Double Candy Research will start on October 30th, overlapping with the final day of the upcoming Good Sleep Day event, which starts October 28th.

Halloween 2023 - Double Candy Research
This week long event will start the day before Halloween, on Monday October 30th at 4:00am local time, running through to Monday November 6th at 4:00am local time. To participate and gain bonuses from this event, players will need to conduct their sleep research for this week on Greengrass Isle. Sleep tracking on any other map will not trigger these event bonuses.

As part of this event, players will be able to receive a variety of special rewards, including a staggering Handy Candy S x25 (worth 75 Pokémon candies when used), by completing a set of special missions that will be added on top of the standard weekly missions. Pokémon Sleep will debut its first special Pokémon, Pikachu (Halloween), a Pikachu wearing a Halloween Hat, during this event. These Pokémon are currently exclusive to this event, and will only appear after the event if players use a Pikachu (Halloween) Incense item, which is presumably one of the rewards from the aforementioned missions.

The following bonuses will be active for sleep research during this event period:
  • Pokémon candies received from sleep research are doubled
  • Players can encounter Pokémon of different sleep types regardless of their own sleep type
These bonuses will be increased for sleep research on the night of Halloween, October 31st, and for sleep on the final night of the event on November 5th, to:
  • Pokémon candies received from sleep research are tripled
  • Players can encounter Pokémon of different sleep types regardless of their own sleep type
Throughout the event, the following Pokémon will also appear more frequently during sleep research:
  • Much Greater Encounter Chance
    • Pikachu (Halloween), Gastly, Haunter, Gengar
  • Greater Encounter Chance
    • Meowth, Cubone
  • Slightly Greater Encounter Chance
    • Other unspecified Pokémon
Players should also note the following for this event:
  • The daily rollover for the Halloween 2023 - Double Candy Research event is at 4:00am local time.
  • Event bonuses for this event apply only for sleep data tracked on Greengrass Isle.
  • Event bonuses to candies received will only apply to the first sleep session recorded each day.
  • Event bonuses apply only for sleep tracking that begins within the event period, and do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial, or to sleep data tracked before the event, even if the player waits to review their sleep research after the event has started.
  • Sleep data tracked during the event will receive event bonuses, regardless of if the player waits to review their sleep research until after the event has concluded.

The next Good Sleep Day begins October 28th

As confirmed earlier this week, Pokémon Sleep's third Good Sleep Day event will run from Saturday October 28th through to Monday October 30th. Good Sleep Day events are being held in Pokémon Sleep once every lunar month, starting the day before the full moon, and ending the day after.

Players will receive the following bonuses on the first and last days of this event:
  • Drowsy Power x1.5
  • Pokémon Sleep EXP x2
  • Bonus Sleep Points +500
These bonuses are increased for Sunday October 29th, the day of the full moon, to:
  • Drowsy Power x2
  • Pokémon Sleep EXP x3
  • Bonus Sleep Points +1000
Good Sleep Day event bonuses stack multiplicatively with incense. For example, using a Growth Incense (Pokémon Sleep EXP x2) on the night of the full moon will grant a total Pokémon Sleep EXP bonus of x6. On October 30th, bonuses will also stack multiplicatively with the bonuses from the Halloween 2023 event, so long as players are conducting their sleep research for the week on Greengrass Isle.

A Good Sleep Day Bundle is also expected to be available in the in-game shop from the day before the event, however this has not yet been explicitly confirmed.

Players should also note the following for this event:
  • The daily rollover for the Good Sleep Day event is at 4:00am local time
  • Event bonuses are received regardless of which site players conduct their sleep research in, however bonus sleep points are received only for the first sleep session recorded each day
  • Event bonuses apply only for sleep tracking that begins within the event period, and do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial, or to sleep data tracked before the event, even if the player waits to review their sleep research after the event has started.
  • Sleep data tracked during the event will receive event bonuses, regardless of if the player waits to review their sleep research until after the event has concluded.
