So much for a late July release! The final release for Pokémon Sleep has now dropped for both Android and iOS, for users in countries which previously had access to the open beta earlier this month. This includes Pokémon fans across Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecaudor, Mexico, New Zealand, Venezuela, Panama, and Peru. At this point, no explicit ETA has been given for when other countries will have access to the app, though posts on the official Pokémon Sleep Twitter account promise "soon".

Please note that Android users who still have the open beta of Pokémon Sleep on their device will not download this final release of the app automatically. Any fans in this situation will first need to uninstall the open beta from their device, after which they will be able to download the final release of the game via Google Play.

Some users have reported receiving errors after trying to launch the app. The official advice at this time is to delete then re-install the app, which should fix the problem.

Pokémon Sleep features Snorlax as its central Pokémon, with other Pokémon appearing around Snorlax based on the player's sleeping pattern and sleeping style. Players will work together with the Pokémon sleep researcher Professor Neroli to research Pokémon sleep styles, and record them in the Sleep Style Dex. Starting Monday every week, players will begin a new round of sleep research with a new location and a new Snorlax. A new trailer released earlier this month, showing off the core gameplay. For more information on the gameplay, please refer to our coverage of the trailer.
