Sleep Researchers looking to prepare their helper Pokémon parties in Pokémon Sleep ahead of the debut of Raikou that was announced during the Pokémon Presents presentation are going to get a perfect chance in mid-March, with the arrival of a week-long event focused specifically on Electric-type Pokémon starting Monday March 11th at 4:00am local time, and running through to Monday March 18th at 3:59am local time.

The event will allow Researchers to participate and gain bonuses regardless of where they conduct their sleep research, with the following bonuses active throughout the event period:
  • At least one Pokémon will be hungry during the Sleep Researchers first sleep research session of the day
  • Researchers can encounter a few Pokémon of different sleep types regardless of their own sleep type for the day.
As part of this event, Researchers will also be able to receive a variety of special rewards, including Dedenne Incense, by completing a set of special missions that will be added on top of the standard weekly missions.

Researchers will also be able to take advantage of Candy Boost for this event. This event-limited function, which last ran during the Christmas 2023 event, will give Pokémon twice the effect from candies, at a cost of using six times the amount of Dream Shards per candy. This should mean Researchers will be able to power-level many of their Pokémon during this period, assuming they haven't already spent all their candy and Dream Shards during the Christmas event.

Dedenne

Dedenne will also be making its debut alongside this event event. A Snoozling Sleep type Pokémon appearing at Greengrass Isle and Lapis Lakeside, Dedenne is first Pokémon to be added with the main skill Tasty Chance S, which makes it more likely that Researcher's cooking will be Extra Tasty. The improved chance from this skill will grow over time, and stack up to a maximum of 70%, only resetting once an Extra Tasty dish is made, or Sleep Researchers move to a new site.

Additionally, the following Pokémon will also appear more frequently during sleep research throughout the Electric Type Week event:
  • Greater Appearance Rate
    • Greengrass Isle: Pikachu, Raichu, Jolteon, Pichu, Mareep, Flaaffy, Dedenne
    • Cyan Beach: Pikachu
    • Snowdrop Tundra: Mareep, Flaaffy, Ampharos
    • Lapis Lakeside: Pikachu, Pichu, Dedenne
Please note that research in Taupe Hollow will not attract any Pokémon with boosted appearance rate.
