Review GOTCHA!

I hate that TPCI keeps showing us that other companies can do pokemon games and anime better than they can, yet refuses to branch out and make more money by having people who know what they're doing take a crack at it.

Not a fan of the vhs look, since that just reminds me that Pokemon's been stuck in the 90's for over two decades and refuses to adapt to the times.

I see GameFreak recognise the growing potential of Ash/Koharu as the OTP.
The girl isn't based on Koharu - her hair's brown, not cerise
Besides, she's more interested in Go

I loved this music video. It was a nice surprise. I loved the animation. It's so fluid and makes the characters seem so lively despite being only on screen for a few seconds. It was great to see so many characters. The transitions from the Sword/Shield rivals to the battle against Leon in particular was fantastic. The song itself was really good and works nicely with the video. Seeing some of these characters together and Legendary Pokemon felt like such a nostalgic rush. It felt like a love letter to the franchise and it was terrific. As much as I liked the other announcements this morning, this video was easily the highlight of the livestream.

They even included an obscure Red/Green/Blue and Stand By Me reference:

This video was AMAZING! It really gave me Studio TRIGGER vibes with it's constant energy and explosiveness! Just like with the animation for Twilight Wings, I love the different directions they took for animating this. Whereas Twilight Wings was very soft and emotive, this video is bombastic and in your face!

This MV is perfect. Gen 8 continues to make my web self happy from having After the Rain sang the opening for Pokemon 2019 then having Bump of Chicken sing for Pokemon.

I nearly cried when I saw Black(Hilbert), Cheren, and Bianca transitioned with grown-up Cheren and Bianca with Nate instead of Black. I hope I get to hear this once I visit the Pokemon Center and Cafe later this year.

This video is peak Pokemon fanservice.

I feel as though they've been knocking short animations out of the park lately. This video was absolutely wonderful, and I adored the Looney Tunes-inspired Scraggy and Mimikyu short from a while back!

Some of the expressions of the type specialists are hilarious though, and you can tell they tried their very best to fit everyone in.
