THE PASS
In the remote region of Hoko, tucked away behind a series of mountain ranges, there is a place called the Pass. Every to-be Pokemon trainer must travel through the Pass in order to leave the region, which is something most young trainers aspire to do. It is for this reason most trainers do not leave until they are around thirteen; a ten year old would likely perish among the mountains. It has happened before.

Now, a group of five friends has decided to leave their homes in Hoko and travel through the pass with their starter Pokemon. Will they make it? Or will they be fated to fall in The Pass?

Well, welcome to my first roleplay! Let's start off with some rules;

Okay, here we go
**Trainer's Section**
name;; Nathan "Nate" Hibiki
age;; 13
gender;; Male
personality;; Nate's family moved to Hoko when he was 9, only 2 months from when he could have travelled on his own back in Johto, he has no idea why. Why would anyone want to live in this tiny place? So small there's not even a Pokemon league. His objection to this act has led to him becoming brash and impulsive, deliberately doing things he knows his parents won't approve of. Unfortunately this can result in (alongside several broken bones) him rushing into things without thinking and making decisions rather impulsively. He also isn't too bright.
description;; Nate's a short kid, only coming up to 4''6. He has blonde hair in fade haircut, kept spiked up at the top. He heads off on his adventure in jeans, a blue jacket, left open over a black t-shirt, and a red wristband, with apparently two copies of the exact same outfit.

Pokemon's name;; Hikari
species;; Riolu
gender;; Female
nature;; Serious
personality;; Just like her nature says, serious. She's able to keep a level head, and attempts to stop Nate from doing anything too reckless... She doesn't succeed very often. Now that they're heading into the pass however, she might need to step up a bit.

Using my National Park char to try and get a feel for her personality <3

name;;
K'sariya Yeboah
age;; 26
gender;; female

personality;;
K'sariya is a generally anti-social creature, forged to be hardy in the fires of adversity. Small heart has little room for anything but Pokemon. With people, she is generally short and curt, though only becomes rude if provoked or stared at. She confronts those who stare for too long at the scars on her features or form. She scorns pity and is fiercely independent in the face of it. K'sariya proves to be a sore loser, also, and will brew in her own anger should she be slighted or defeated; she is a ticking pipe bomb simply waiting to burst at any small provocation. Only the presence of Pokemon (hers or otherwise) soothes her and gives her patience.

The woman is rough around the edges. Empathy is hard for her to find when it comes to humans, but when it comes to Pokemon, she thrives off of it. Raised in a land-locked area and generally confined with solitude due to her scars, she has an incredibly strong affinity and connection with types bound by gravity's relentless coil. However, she longs to taste the freedom of flight and the salt of the sea.

She takes this journey much later than usual, deprived of opportunities to obtain a Pokemon until recently. She considers the rite of passage in itself as a joke and uses it only as a means to escape the region. K'sariya cares about little else.

description;;
A tall, dark-skinned girl built for a potent mix of strength and stamina. Average size with below-average curves in a generally compact figure. A voluminous mane of frizzy, curly hair seems to burst from her skull and down toward her back, resting at her shoulders and adorned in a coat of dark amber and earthen brown. Green eyes stare from dark, generally-clear complexion, though she breaks out at times from the sweat upon her brow and has a small, dark beauty mark at the corner of her left eye. Stretch marks quiver gentle marks across the planes of her inner thighs and a beige birthmark nestles itself into the crook between her right thumb and index finger. Three jagged, salmon-pink scars slash down the entire right side of her features, cracking down across the right of her forehead, breaking at her brow to streak down her right cheekbone. When her right eyelid is closed, the three marks show ever-so-slightly upon its surface--an injury that narrowly missed her eye. They cross the right side of her lips at the corner, crooking her smirk on that side. Another set of three slash marks begins at the left side of her cheekbone, directly beneath the left eye, and crack down the planes of her left cheek to end at her jawline.

Outfit usually consists of pastels, neutrals, and darks, only using bright colors for highlights or jewelry. She is especially fond of white garments that compliment the color of her skin. Her most common dress is a cropped, alabaster jean jacket with well-fitting long sleeves set above a white tank-top and a high-rising pair of white shorts. The other styles of her wardrobe do not deviate often or drastically--most variations are of the same style but a different hue, though she may occasionally throw in a scarf or two. However, no matter the outfit, she always wears a small chain necklace with a flat, emerald-hued feather dangling from it. In times of stress or anxiety, she will often rub or press her thumb against its face.

Pokemon's name;; Soleil
species;; Larvesta
gender;; Female
nature;; Calm
personality;; A wise foil to K'sariya's rage, Soleil is the only thing standing between his Trainer's rage and the rest of the world. The creature is compassionate for all Pokemon outside of battle, and is precise and never looses her calm in battle. Though generally weak in body, her mind is strong, and she proves determined in all of her endeavors. She maintains a telepathic link with K'sariya in their closeness, though it weakens with distance.

@Luck Gandor, since there are others interested in grabbing a spot, perhaps put a time limit on reserves? So that if it falls through, some of these people can grab a spot? C:

@K'sariya yeah that might be a good idea. Problem is the other two reserved on Discord so I don't remember who they are.

@Luck Gandor then I'd say wait until the end of today then open up those spots! It would have been around 24-36 hours at that point

Because two people didn't send in their forms, two spots are now open!

I suppose I'll ask to reserve a spot as well then, my curiosity has been piqued.

Though, since someone else asked prior, I'll let you decide who gets it. c:

name: Frei Nithila
age: 16
gender: Male

personality: Frei definitely isn't the bravest guy in the Hoko region, nor is he the most outgoing. One could be forgiven for wondering why he's even attempting to traverse his way through the Pass at all. The answer to this question is an interesting one.
Frei really wasn't really that interested in leaving the region at all when he was 13. Setting aside the fact that he didn't want a Pokémon in the first place, he wasn't sure what would await him beyond the Pass either. He was simply too dissuaded by the thought of the outside world not being as incredible as his age demographic fantasized it to be, and was quite set on saying where he was. Two years later, his parents, in an attempt to kill both birds with one stone, gave him a Pokémon Egg.
Though initially reluctant, he soon relented and took care of it until the egg hatched into a female Togepi. A few hours in the presence of this newborn had completely dissolved his misgivings around owning a Pokémon but he was still unwilling to leave until a few days ago when he witnessed Amor leaving her eggshell before evolving into Togetic. As she snuggled up to him for some rest, it was a long and hard look at his Pokémon's now empty shell that convinced him to finally try and leave the region. She'd left behind the place she felt most safe, he felt it was only right to do the same.
Now, with two more Pokémon to their group, he was ready.
description: Frei is of an average height and frame, with long hair of a dirty blonde colour and green eyes. He primarily wears a yellow jumper, a shirt and pair of jeans with the same colour underneath it, and white trainers.

Pokemon's name: Amor
species: Togetic
gender: Female
nature: Timid
personality: His first Pokémon and closest companion, Amor is very similar to her trainer in much of her own personality. She can get a little nervous at times and is only truly comfortable when around Frei, to the extent of seemingly exhibiting some signs of a crush on him. When push does come to shove in regards to his safety however, she'll spring straight into action and beat Agni to the punch.

Pokemon's name: Aes
species: Aron
gender: Male
nature: Impish
personality: Aes is a rather fun-loving and mischievous character. While he is a good battler and has no problems with obeying Frei's commands in battles, he also has a habit of treating them like a game. A habit that may spice up this trip in more ways than one.

Pokemon's name: Agni
species: Seadra
gender: Male
nature: Hardy
personality: The mature and focused foil to Aes, Agni is more confident and self-assured than Frei and Amor put together and then some. He would usually be the one to delve head first into a battle should he feel it necessary. Despite his personality being a far sight different from that of his trainer, disobedience out of frustration isn't on his mind.
