Pokemon UNITE launches new UNITE in the Spotlight Battle Pass and event, alongside update to Verson 1.4.1.7

Battle Pass 6, UNITE in the Spotlight, has gone live in Pokemon UNITE together with the update to Version 1.4.1.7. This latest battle pass is centered around a theatre theme, adding in a variety of new player character accessories, and unlockable Pokémon Holowear for Greninja, Sylveon, Absol, Gengar, and Garchomp. Separately to the new Battle Pass, a new version update has also added Duraladon as a playable Pokémon.

The UNITE in the Spotlight Battle Pass will run through to April 28th at 7 pm (CDT). Players will raise their level through regular gameplay as they complete daily lessons and missions, receiving in-game rewards each time they level up. As usual, the most desirable content is gated off specifically for paying players, with the Theatre Style: Greninja Holowear and Fashionable Style: Sylveon Holowear only available for players who have purchased the Premium Battle Pass. Free-to-play players will still however be able to receive an amount of Aeos Coins, Aeos Tickets and Item Enhancers from the Battle Pass. All players will also be able to take advantage of the Prize Box on reaching Level 60. The list of each reward each level in the Battle Pass can be found at the end of this post.

In conjunction with the launch of this new Battle Pass, the game is also running a A UNITE in the Spotlight event, giving players the opportunity to unlock three theater-themed Pokémon Holowear - Sacred Style: Absol, Masquerade Style: Garchomp, and Theatre Style: Gengar. Players will be able to unlock this Holowear through a combination of daily log-in bonuses and completing in-game daily missions.

The update to Version 1.4.1.7 brings with it the new Duraladon Unite License, as well as a range of additional Pokémon holowear and cosmetic items for players. Duraladon can be unlocked for either 10,000 Aeos Coins, or 575 Aeos Gems. The full patch notes for this update can be found below. Since the launch of this update, the developers have acknowledged a bug with Blastoise's Rapid Spin attack on the game's official Twitter account. No ETA has yet been given for how soon this issue will be resolved.

Blastoise: Rapid Spin

• Move Upgrade

Mr. Mime: Guard Swap

• Changed to “Creates a link between the user and the Pokémon this move hits, swapping the user’s Defense and Sp. Def stats with those of the linked Pokémon. If the linked Pokémon is an opposing Pokémon, this move deals damage over time to it and decreases its movement speed while also increasing the user’s movement speed. If the linked Pokémon is an ally Pokémon, this move increases the movement speed of that Pokémon and the user. These effects will persist as long as the two Pokémon remain linked. The link will disappear if the user and the linked Pokémon are too far apart, if the user attempts to target another Pokémon, or by other factors.”
