UNITE pokemon unite suddenly laggy after the update?

is it just me or does anyone else also have a lot of lag while playing in matches after the update came out that added clefable? my internet connection is fine and i'm pretty close to the router, and it wasn't just one match, i played like 3 matches and it was still so laggy. and this is the switch version i'm talking about
