Brock falls in love with every girl he sees. Makoto falls in love with every guy who even vaguely reminds her of her first love (which is nearly every guy she sees). Seems like it'd solve both of their problems.

Ash kinda looks a little older, but the two just seem to fit together.

Its not really cross-shipping, but in Fire Emblem Three Houses, you can actually marry Ash Ketchum! Funnily enough, Manuela Casagrande, voiced by Veronica Taylor; has a hard time finding love- kind of like how Ash has had many admirers but never seems to develop a relationship with them.
