Today I am officially kicking off the Spring 2016 Pokemon 4 The Next Generation event to raise money for Child's Play charity!

Pokemon: For the Next Generation
Subreddit: pkmn4nextgen: a pokemon-based charity event • /r/pkmn4nextgen

Pokemon: For the Next Generation (Pkmn4NextGen) is a charity event where players donate a certain amount of money to complete a challenge run-through of Pokemon. The Pkmn4NextGen event is open to anyone who loves the Pokemon series and/or wants to contribute to a wonderful cause, making the world a happier place through video gaming.

Pkmn4NextGen is a challenge run of Pokemon whereby the pokemon you use to complete the game are assigned to you randomly, using a random number generator (RNG) through a twitter account. The challenge is to become a Pokemon Master by completing the game using only the pokemon assigned to you during the event. There are several variations on the Pkmn4NextGen playthrough, so please see the website to decide which challenge run you would like to embark on.

This charity event will run from January 15, 2016 through April 30, 2016. Since this is not the typical marathon-style charity event, you are able to join at any point along the way and pledge any amount that you choose. The whole idea is to just have fun playing video games while also contributing to a good cause.

We all waste(d) a lot of time in front of our gaming systems (both when we were kids and as adults!), so let's channel that energy to help raise money for less fortunate children.

I hope you will join us!
