PokeShippers! Are you also MangaPokeShippers?

Sadly, I've never gotten into the manga, so I haven't seen if there are any ships I support there. I have seen a few pictures from the mange and I like Misty's look but that's about it. :-/

I'm actually a Specialshipper, because I love Oldrival too much. But hey, Lucky is cute too.

Which manga, though? Adventure or Ono's Pokemon manga. Ono's Pokemon manga is very Satoshi x Kasumi heavy, imo, especially as it went into the Orange Island stuff. It was Rocketshipper heavy too (especially with the way it ended which was just too cute!). Also, for Ono's manga, Kasumi's character design changed some. In the beginning, she was kind of busty, but as the series went on, she seemed to look less mature body wise. Her hair was lighter too compared to the beginning.

For Adventure, Red got along okay with Kasumi, but, for the most part, the two didn't hang together a lot since she ran the gym (no sisters in the Adventure manga). She didn't travel with him much. Adventure was more game-based compared to Ono's, which had more of the anime aspects.

Not sure about the later versions of the Adventure manga. After Yellow's adventure, who was in search of Red, who'd gone missing, I sorta stopped there. Wasn't very interested in continuing for Silver/Gold adventure and Ruby/Sapphire, etc.

For those who have read it, is Silver/Gold and beyond have any connections to Red/Green/Blue/Yellow?'s stories.
Man Blue or Girl Blue?
Just trying to make sure I got this...

Red = Satoshi-based character
Green = Shigeru-based character
Blue = Girl who stole Satoshi's badges at one point. lol

I didn't know there were two mangas. lol But from the sounds of it, Ono's probably would interest me more. I love playing the pokemon games, but the story of the main characters in the games doesn't draw my interest the same way the anime does.

I wish I could find the picture of Misty from one of the mangas where she had stolen Ash's or Red's hat and was wearing it. That one panel would probably be enough to get me started on the mangas. lol

Yep, they all end up connected in some way. GSC is more connected though, since Kanto is next door.

Oh, I remember that part of the manga.

On the side note... Did you guys notice that Misty's sisters are like more responsible than their Anime counterparts?

But they seem to know that their little sister has a thing for younger guys.

Misty's 12 in the manga, while in the Anime she started out as 10.

My male Poke friends really enjoy Ono's manga due to the fanservice... Ah, boys...

It's really heavy on PokeShipping. At least, Ash also showed that he's attracted to Misty in some way.

Even Brock showed interest in her. LOL...

In Ono's manga, Rudy really proposed to Misty and even prepared a gown for her. Ash was very irritated about it.

Brock also teased Misty and Ash while singing "Misty and Ash sitting in a tree..."

MangaPoke, whether Adventure or Ono's manga, just does not have that same spark which the anime's Pokeshipping does. To me, anyway.

I agree. I wish I could give something more substantive to say about it, but I can't. It's just not as fun. Maybe it's the fact that Ash is so dang clueless that makes the Anime shipping more fun.

Plus, you get to see the characters move around. And they have voices. You feel like you get to know their personalities better that way.

I just like the fact that manga Satoshi shows an attraction to girls in general. He's not on Takeshi's level, but it's still there. I really wish that would be in the anime, even if it's not much. Have him show attraction every once in a while, or admit that a girl is pretty and that Pokemon isn't always the only thing on his mind.

At one point of the manga, Kasumi teased Satoshi about how he obviously likes older girls (she caught him writing to May) and how she would have to watch out if traveling with him (jokingly). Manga wise (Ono's anyway), she seemed to tease Satoshi more.
