It's as simple as that.

I have this classmate who was once an AbilityShipper. But when she saw my treasure of PokeShipping fanarts in my pc, she was converted. She is now a die-hard PokeShipper.

Wow AbilityShipping is AshXAnnabelle right?

As far as shipping goes, Ash does seem to be very attractive to tomboys (ex. Anabelle, Macy, Angie, Misty). Guess he has the most perfect charm for tomboys.

But put those other tomboys aside, Misty's number 1!

Pokeshipping is the best, yup.

I love at least 40 ships in Pokemon, but Pokeshipping will forever be my favorite. <3

Glad to hear that. Same goes for me. PokeShipping never went down the ranks in my book. It was always number 1.

Exactly :-D I will always return to this ship, even when I go crazy on others for a while.

So we still need a new topic, I guess.

What is your favorite Pokeshipping fanfic?

I think I answered this topic a while back saying my favorite was Don't Believe What You See by Bittersweet Romanticide. While that remains a favorite, I've also found a new favorite called Ash and Misty's Love, by Llyxius (the same one who wrote Slumber Party). It's about Misty wanting this perfume called Love, and Ash is trying to save up the money to buy it for her birthday. It's adorable and humorous and I'd recommend it to any Pokeshipper.

What is your favorite Pokeshipping fanfic?

I've never read any Pokéshipping fanfics before...I'm not really into fanfiction in general. ^_^;

I guess that's something to put on my to-do list, isn't it? :]

What is your favorite Pokeshipping fanfic?

It used to be Ash and Misty: Sub Zero but now I would also recommend It's Her Party, and She'll Cry If I Mess It Up.

In it, Ash is faced with the choice of what to get Misty for her birthday when she visits Hoenn to get some supplies for the next water ballet since her sisters are too lazy. It takes place a little time after the A Togepi Mirage specials. It seems pretty in-character to me, and that element of cuteness is kind of nice.

Linkage.

This story is so funny!

"Misty, on the other hand, went on another girly gushing spree over the smelly junk. “Thanks May!” Misty smiled brightly, wrapping her arms around May while the girls giggled really giddily. Jeez, all girls have that annoying giggle, don’t they? “Oh, this perfume reminds me of the Cerulean Cape! I loveit!” I had no idea the Cerulean Cape smelled as bad as Gringy City, though I probably shouldn’t say that in front of Misty, should I? Seriously, though, that perfume STINKS!! Either Misty was humoring May or her nose can’t tell the difference between a Roselia and a Grimer. Maybe girls’ noses smell differently than boys. I dunno, but the bottom line is that perfume stunk to high heavens and I was really wishing somebody would crack open a window. Unfortunately, I was obviously the only person who thought so, since everybody else claimed the perfume smelled “aromatic.” What do automatics have to do with this?! Maybe I’m missing something…"

I know I’m late to the thread, and the questions are old, as it’s been going on for a long time, but decided to join in anyway. lol Going through some of this thread has revived the “Pokeshipper” in me. lol

That aside…I will say this. I’d actually watch the show again (even I don’t know the Pokemon) if Misty came back, but from the looks of it, seems that the writers have no intention of bringing her back permanently again. I still don’t get why they got rid of her in the first place. The logic behind it didn’t make sense. Why not give her character a break, not get rid of her altogether. I know that she’s not one of the “main girls” for the more up-to-date games…but man.

Tell out your whole AAML Journey so far: Starting how you became a pokeshipper.
Well, the very first episode of Pokemon I saw, back in 1998, was when Ash caught Caterpie. I’d actually started watching at the second half of the episode, so I had no idea what the relationship was between Ash and Misty. At first, I was wondering if they were siblings, until I learned better, especially at the end of the episode. I was like, “Wow, she seems to like him.”

What really made me a fan of the pairing was probably when Ash had to battle her for the Cascade Badge.

Um…let’s see…um…I hung around Upnetwork’s old board back in like 1999. Started writing bad Pokefics (yes, they are bad. lol Sucks most of my old fics are “lost” now). Was a huge fan of it. Used to debate it too. Like during the time with Archaic and Chaosrocket. Was in that Pokeshippr club thingee…whatever. Can’t remember, too long ago. lol Used to hang out on AAML too.

What were you highest and lowest points without your AAML journey?
I guess my highest point was…um…good question. I’ll go with The Ghost of Maiden’s Peak. Loved how the entire episode, imo, was just a date for the two, you know, with all the festival activities since Brock was so out of the picture. Then there’s the last part of the episode with the two when they danced and how Ash’s view of Misty in the yukata was enchanting to him. Loved it. lol IMO, that showed that even if it was sub-conscious, he found her attractive. You know, thinking about it now…was he waiting for her? Seriously, it was like a date!

My lowest point…well, for my area, back in about September of 1999, WB was dropped here. We never really had the station anyway. We just had WGN and it showed WB stuff. Fox used to show Pokemon too before I discovered it on WB, but Fox stopped after a while. So…my lowest point was when I couldn’t watch the show regularly anymore and as time went on, I started to lose more interest in it. A friend of mine taped episodes for me, so I did manage to see the rest of the Kanto episodes and all of the Orange Island episodes…and scattered eps of Johto. For the most part, I’m behind the times with the show, and since Johto have only seen scattered eps raw.

Through the hard times (such as Misty leaving and other girls traveling with Ash) what keep you going and believing in AAML?
I didn’t see many episodes when Satoshi traveled with Haruka and her brother (I only saw maybe the first 20 eps of whatever the Ruby/Sapphire season was called), and I haven’t seen any episodes with that Hikari girl yet…so I dunno. I still like Pokeshipping though. I really hope that Misty comes back someday and stays longer than just a couple of eps or whatever. I did see the episodes with Togepi when it evolved.

Oh, another low point from those who do get the show…the fact that “Satoshi” doesn’t seem to talk about “Kasumi” much. I think it’s the same for the dub. Is it true that he doesn’t talk much about Misty? Seems he would because she traveled with him for so long.

Oh, and can someone explain this thing about Misty’s lure and Ash’s reaction to it or something? Can someone point me to it?

It's 2010 and Ash is headed home to see old friends. What would you like to see happen?
Nothing much. I’d be happy and satisfied with a hug (that he initiates) and Ash going on about how much he missed her…or better yet, have him go back to the gym, challenge her to a match, but she not realize it’s him at first, and he sorta surprises her. That’d be nice. When the two part ways again, though, since, let’s face it…Pokemon isn’t ending anytime soon, have Ash feel bad about having to leave again, more than the other times. Hm, how about him asking her to come along with him and the others to travel again, but her having to decline, and then what I said above occurs (his feeling bad about parting again, but not knowing why it’s bothering him more than usual).

Will you continue to believe in pokeshipping whatever happens in the future?
I’ll probably still like it, but it is a bit biased on my part since I haven’t watched the show regularly, due to my being unable to, unless raw/subbed eps for like ten years now and it’s rare to find those. lol

If Ash and Misty had another battle, how would you like it to be like?!
Not sure. I would actually want Misty to win. Seems from the bit I do remember, every battle the two have had, seems Ash won on a technicality or either Misty won on a technicality (the Togepi battle comes to mind). I would want a full out battle and like I said, would want Misty to win it to show how much stronger she’s become since she’s been a gym leader. Overall, though, I would want it to be a very close battle to show how long a way Ash has come as well.

Now if it’s a situation where neither can win…how about a double KO. =P

Misty can give Ash a run for his money. In fact, she had already proven to him that she's tough. Ash recognizes her skill as a great Water Pokemon trainer. He even commented it himself.

I would love to see them battle again. Clearly, with all the training she has done in the gym, Misty is a lot stronger than she used to be. If Ash and Misty battle, it will be epic.

Misty has her fair share of victory over Ash, though some battles are quite funny.

Here are some of Misty's best battles:

I honestly never get tired of watching that video. Misty's awesome.

I wish she would get to battle Ash again.

I'd also love to see them battle again, and go all out on each other like they would if Ash was challenging Misty in a gym battle. The battle would be intense and likely turn out to be one of the best on the show, mainly because Pikachu wouldn't fight Misty and that would leave Ash at a huge disadvantage against Gyarados. Also, it'd be a perfect opportunity for some shippy moments. :-D

On a side note: I'm liking the color scheme of the boards for Halloween. :loopy:
