Easy question.

Mine is Roxie. While Koga was the main icon of Poison-type for some time and I really like the fact that he's a ninja, I like how Roxie acts, the connection to Koffing, her underground gym and her Scolipede themes.

Plumeria was somehwat nice but I hated her connection to Skull.

While not only Poison-only, I like how Jessie and James started mainly with Poison-type Pkmn and their hair colour seems a note to that.

Roxie is my favorite. She's charming, and her singing "Dogā"—still not sure what happened to the last syllable lol—is one of my favorite parts of the B2W2 soundtrack. Plus, she's that feisty kind of smol, and I love how she sticks it to her father!

I voted for Koga because he his promotion between games from Gym Leader to Elite Four isn't detailed and leaves a bit of fun guessing about what led to it.

Also he's a ninja and ninja are cool.

Klara; I mean, I love her personality and music the most anyway but she's also the only one with character development, so it's not much of a contest. (Okay, that's not entirely fair to Plumeria, but I do think Plumeria was underused, whereas Klara is one of the backbones of the IOA storyline.)

Plus she's named Klara, and in this house we already stan one Clara so it's like second-nature to me, lol

I'll go with Koga. The fights against him tend to stand out to me. He's also the first character that comes to mind when I think of Poison type specialists. His relationship with Janine and his promotion in the Johto games is also pretty interesting.

I also like Plumeria, especially in Masters, so she'd be a close second. She gives me cool big sis vibes.

Roxie, I guess, because her gym theme is cool.

...

I don’t really hold any strong opinions on the characters in the core series for the most part.

While watching a video about the Isle of Armor DLC, part of it was about Mustard and Klara appears just to say that she should be congrating the player but she won't...and so, GF finally did something cliché with a Poison-type character which is for her to be "poisonous"!
Really? Aside from the sports outfit used by Gym Leaders and the player, I liked her design and looks but the above just ruins her as a character. I'm not saying that we should just have the nicer and friendly characters but does it always has to fill a trope, like Dark type Pkmn being evil or scary?
While I voted for Roxie I can relate to what others spoke about Koga's development. We even see Janine taking lunch to him, which is a very basic thing but that fleshs out each character as human and their father-daughter relation.

I do have a soft spot for Roxie's design and aesthetics, but Koga's whole schtick seems to most accurately reflect the Poison-type mechanics. The type's definitely picked up a musical/punk vibe in recent years, with Roxie, Klara and the Toxtricity line.

Despite liking the punk vibe, I would like for Poison to instead go back to a scientist scene like what we used to have in Gen. I.
I also believe that the Poison type can be a great story point to tackle environmental issues but that isn't used in general...I can only remember the Vermilion city lady talking about Grimer and perhaps some old dude in Celadon.
