Myself and several of my colleagues are working on a Pokemon manga that we hope to one day be translated into 12 hour-long animated episodes. I was wondering, what is the population of the world in the games and anime?

Why not go with this world's current population? You know, it isn't evenly distributed. If you need a thin population or a dense population, it shouldn't be a problem. Just change your setting.

From the evidence we have, the world is slightly less populated than our world but there's still no way of getting a number, especially when a new region appears every few years.

What's this world's population? 7 billion? So maybe...5 billion? (I also got the impression that the Pokeworld was less densely populated than ours)

Of course, if you follow the theory that the Pokeworld is a distant planet, maybe their planet is bigger than ours.

I think it's an alternate universe, for the record.
