Two young girls with sparkling blue eyes and black hair on Platform Nine and Three Quarters with their parents and younger brothers. One of the girls had wavy black hair that fell to just above her mid back, and the other had shoulder length black hair. Their mother had chocolate brown eyes filled with sadness and shoulder length brown hair; their father had messy black hair and emerald green eyes. Both of the younger boys had messy black hair, but one of the boys had emerald green eyes like their father and the other had chocolate brown eyes like their mother. The girl with the shoulder length black hair had the young boy with green eyes in a tight embrace.
"Oh, Alex, I'm going to miss you so much! I promise to write!" the young girl cried. She released her brother soon after and grinned at him.
"Alright, girls, the train will be leaving soon. Do you have all of your things?" their mother asked. She had a soft, melodic voice that didn't sound concerned at all. Both girls nodded just as their mother gave them both a hug. "I'll miss both of you girls. I love you both so much."
A loud whistle was heard as students hurried to board the train before it's departure. The two girls ran towards the train and boarded it almost instantly. As the girl with shoulder length black hair boarded the train, she tripped on the second step and crashed into the wall in front of her. Slowly, everything seemed to go black, but the last thing that she saw was a pair of concerned hazel eyes.

I'm difficult,
Hard to please,

The girl awoke later to see that she was in a small compartment on the train. She tried to sit up, but a pair of hands kept her down.
"Stay down," the boy said. His voice was hoarse; it made the girl wonder if he was sick. "You hit your head pretty hard."
"Oh," the girl breathed. She could feel the pain hitting her just as the boy took a seat on the chair across from her. "So, er, what's your name?"
"Remus Lupin. Fourth year Gryffindor. And you?" the boy, Remus, replied, giving the girl a soft smile as he spoke.
"Michelle Derikson. This is my first year," the girl, Michelle, replied shyly.
"Well then, Michelle, welcome to Hogwarts," Remus said softly.
I'm a mess in a dress,
Can't show up on time,
Even if it would save my life.

"Welcome to Hogwarts. I am Professor Minerva McGonagall, Transfiguration Professor, Deputy Headmistress, and Head of Gryffindor. When you walk through these doors into the Great Hall, you will be sorted into one of four houses -- Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw -- where you will stay for the next seven years of your education," McGonagall stated. She opened the doors leading into the Great Hall and led the first year students in.
The Great Hall was an amazing place. There were five long tables. Four of the tables represented each of the four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. The last table was the staff table. The ceiling was covered in darkness with stars and a crescent moon. It was a reflection of the night sky. The only illumination came from candles that floated around the Great Hall.
"Derikson, Michelle," McGonagall announced. Michelle glanced up at McGongall before shyly walking forward and sitting on the stool. The Sorting Hat was placed on her head by McGonagall.
"Yes, oh, yes. A difficult decision indeed. Your talent and intelligence would help you succeed in Ravenclaw, but your kindness and stubbornness would help you in Hufflepuff. Oh, yes, I know exactly where you belong. Gryffindor!" the Sorting Hat announced. Michelle hopped off the stool, placing the Sorting Hat on top of it as she did. She bounded off towards the Gryffindor table, which was roaring with excitement, with a smile on her face, sitting with Remus and his friends.

I'm beautiful,
Incredible,
He can't get me out of his head.
Moments later, the Gryffindor table erupted in cheers and applause once more as Michelle's twin sister, Mikaela Derikson, was sorted into Gryffindor as well. Mikaela took her seat next to boy with shaggy black hair that fell to just above his shoulders.
"Hey, hottie," the boy said softly. Remus seemed to hear his friend as he sighed and shook his head.
"Sirius, leave it," Remus said in a soft, hoarse voice. He glanced over at Mikaela and gave her a soft smile. "I apologize for my friend here. He's always like this."
"Alright, Remus, don't even bother to introduce us. I'm James Potter, star Quidditch player. That's Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew. Together, we are the Marauders!" the boy with messy black hair said as he pointed to each of his friends with a silly grin on his face. A girl with flaming red hair appeared and took a seat next to Remus.
"And I'm Lily Evans," the girl said with a smile on her face. She had obviously heard James from her seat.
"I'm Michelle Derikson, and this is my twin sister, Mikaela," Michelle said in a soft voice similar to her mother's as she gestured to her sister.

I'm funny,
Irresistable,
Everything he ever wanted.
The remainder of the sorting ceremony seemed to pass by quickly. The school's Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, didn't have much to say beyond the appointment of a new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor for the year and to stay away from the Whomping Willow on the school grounds. The new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor's name was James Smith. Dumbledore concluded the announcements, and then the golden plates that were on the table filled with various types of food. A smile appeared on Michelle's face; this was going to be a great year.
