Project: Gijinka​

Lately in the world of Pokémon, everything has been going excellently. Humanity has been rescued from the brink of ruin several times. The world has been turning clean, and, for the first instance in human history, all nations have been exhibiting a glimpse of willingness to attain world peace. At the very least, that's how it all seems...

What follows is the story of several Gijinka.

In the recent age, Gijinka are recognized as atypical people; people with the hearts and souls of Pokémon. For the most part, they're all treated normally; no differently from one human as one to another. However, they are noted as being quite interesting; occasionally, some of them can even take on remarkably less human forms which are much more similar to the Pokémon they are truly. Despite all their differences and abnormalities, Gijinka are primarily considered to simply be... interesting.

Frequently a Gijinka may arise to reach a high, respected standard in modern society (such as N); however, what is far less common is for a Gijinka to be of a specific type variety (or, as N was, a Gijinka of all Pokémon in their entirety). They may be appreciated as productive individuals with unusual personalities or, at their worst, absolutely detested as abominations of nature and thought of freakishly. Typically they would appear to be almost completely ordinary, with only a mild semblance of their Pokémon personalities in addition to an extent of such a Pokémon's abilities. They would also, in a regular society, perhaps be given various jobs to suit their capabilities (such as a Pikachu line Gijinka typically being expected to be a sort of electrician or something similar, like an electronic innovator or mechanic)...

...but that is not their story.

A young adult awoke to find himself immersed inside a stasis tank in a certain remote scientific laboratory.

What... the f*ck?!

He noticed around him several other subjects, all of which were trapped and contained similarly. At the center of the room he noticed someone - a somewhat younger girl - also restrained likewise, in a different type of tank, chained back against a wall. Multiple scientists and researchers in lab coats were standing nearby. They took note of the young experiment awakening.

"...how are you?" one of them, a woman who appeared to be quite young and acted subordinately to all the others (perhaps a college-aged intern), kindly asked him.

"Who the hell are you? What-"

He was interrupted suddenly; the wall of the lab to his right was blown apart. Multiple troops from a certain region all started pouring in immediately. The scientists sent out their Pokémon; the numerous soldiers readied their weapons and did similarly.

"Wait; no!" the scientist who was looking over him exclaimed; she was immediately shot.

Several of the experiments began awakening. The soldiers and even the scientists were all shooting at everything. He caught sight of the girl in the center.

"Goddamnit; now we have to get rid of everything!" one of them who was standing in the center near the girl in the tank began shouting. "Quick; terminate all the experiments and take everyone out of here!" Several of the experiments began awakening. The soldiers and even the scientists were all shooting at everything. He caught sight of the girl in the center; she was waking.

"Agh! W-what are you doing?!"

He tried to beat the glass keeping him imprisoned furiously; it was cracking slowly. The head scientist from earlier stood over her. He brought out a knife. There were several mechanical limbs operating inside her container. She was being forcefully withheld by her chains. He opened her cell door and stood over her.

"Someone, help!" she screamed.

He finally managed to break out of his tank; he began gliding across the room over to their general vicinity. The scientist gripped her neck and brought his arm back, preparing to stab her. The test subject gripped his arm suddenly. He wrestled with the scientist and they fell back onto the fluid-covered ground. The experiment got above the researcher and kicked him in the face. He proceeded to the girl. He tried to concentrate.

The soldiers gained a new attention towards something. They began to shoot down all the test subjects, breaking the glass tanks. A few of them tripped out of their cells and got moving. Some of them walked around for a moment, wondering what the hell was going on right before getting gunned down. A few of them caught understanding of what was happening and managed to escape. Still others were shot up in their tanks and never got the opportunity to go on living.

Amidst the chaos, the young adult used a type of aura to break her chains and set her free; they made their escape quickly.

Also, there are 3 different nations operating secretly against each other currently: Tohjo, Unova, and Orre. Hoenn and Sinnoh will become involved in these matters gradually. Fiore and Almia may also be used as your characters' home regions. Kalos is an independent, neutral country that (as of yet) has no reason to be belligerent.

Nasty Plot - Jon is a brilliant planner and tactician, and, by spending a moment thinking, can formulate an excellent plan as well as amplify his power over metaphysical energy.

Aura Sphere - he has considerable awareness of and control over aura and energy; he can use aura-based attacks.

Flamethrower - Jon has a limited extent of control over flames.

Roost - he heals completely; for an hour, he loses his ability to fly or glide in exchange, in addition to also losing all Flying-type weaknesses, resistances, and immunities.

Air Slash - Jon takes control of Flying-type energy and controls the air to slash at someone; it may cause them to cringe frequently.

Hyper Beam - Jon fires a Hyper Beam which is exceptionally powerful; by using it, not only does he run out of energy for several minutes; he also faints frequently.

Super Luck - whether the fact of how his attacks frequently do twice as much damage as they do normally or how he's just so charismatic and successful personally, he's just generally f*cking lucky.

Appearance: He stands at 5'11" and weighs 150 lbs. or so; he's somewhat thin and even physically frail; at least whatever bulk he does have is muscle. He's just slightly better than adequate at running and really doesn't like fighting. He has an olive colored skin tone. He used to He has always been conspicuously out-of-the-ordinary. His hair was a bunch of scattered blue and red patches of color and would every so often turn turn shining white (with some bright red and blue pieces) and fluffy. He has completely black irises; shining sable eyes. His appearance has been altered as a result of the experimentation. He's practically always glowing. He has white hair with red and blue parts (on the right and left sides, respectively). The constituency of the hair on his body becomes substantially more... feathery. His arms are capable of outright transforming into wings. He usually has a gray t-shirt and wears khakis. He's always wearing black running shoes.

Personality: In spite of what he is, he knows he's not anywhere near being some kind of angel or anything, really. He knows he's not the best person he could be (or even good, for that matter), or even important to anyone, but he tries to do what's right. He wants to be a selfless type of person; he wants what's best for everyone (no matter how painful it may be). He doesn't want to cause pain to anyone, but if he has to in order to keep people from causing misery to others, he will warn them, and fight against them until they stop. At certain moments, he feels so weak; he doesn't like not being perfect, making any mistakes, or having to put others at risk. He's always feels severe remorse towards whatever he realizes he's done wrong (even to his enemies). Some of his best and quickest ideas, however, involve doing some sort of evil in order to accomplish good.

History: He was born and raised in Aspertia City. He has a brother who's older than him by 3 years, a sister who's younger than him by 3, and another sister who, in turn, is younger than her by 3. His family was always kind and loving, and his parents cared about everyone they knew. He was known to be a Gijinka from a very young age (since he was about 3). In their youth, his parents taught him and his siblings a few things: that all people are born equally (what people do determines what they deserve), that all people are f*cking evil (including themselves) and they should try not to be (everyone should do what they feel is right), that everyone deserves to go to hell, as well as themselves, that hating other people because of what they do is wasting one's life, that life could always be worse (no matter how terrible you think life and people are towards you, someone's always suffering more; you have no right to hate others or to complain), that what's best for other people (what's right) isn't always what's easy or what makes someone happy (in fact, it tends to be what's painful way more frequently), that the only thing which is really worth living for is other people (you won't find a reason to live if you're living for yourself), and the only way to overcome evil is to forgive everyone.

Everyone always considered him to be a brilliant student. Once he reached high school, he decided he'd begin Pokémon training. He was decent at it, to say the least, and he became a rising star in Pokémon battling from Unova immediately. He began by training his Beldum, which his older brother had given him at the age of 10. He gradually managed to beat every single Gym Leader and defeat the entire League over the course of his high school battling career. He traveled to Tohjo, and, within a month, managed to defeat the Gym Leaders from both of Kanto and Johto right before overcoming its Pokémon League. After his training, he headed back to Pallet Town to meet the regional Professor; he was just passing through Viridian City (by the Trainer House) and took a rest after having trained his Pokémon at Mt. Silver extensively, at which point he was kidnapped tersely.

Personality: Absolvens always knows what he's doing; he's strong-willed and level-headed. He wants the best for others, even if it's painful for them or himself.

Personality: Gardant is a kind, compassionate, empathic Pokémon who loves others. She tries to protect people as much as she can.

Personality: Galant tries to be courteous and kind. He's a selfless, clever kind of Pokémon who wants to do as much good for others as he possibly can.

Name: Leukos
Gender: Male
Species: Lucario
Personality: Practically being Jon's "team captain" type of Pokémon, Leukos would actually prefer to follow; he doesn't like having to conceive plans and order others around. He is clever, but he knows if he ever thought of himself as being clever or took advantage of his position, he'd be crushed in battle immediately. He really does understand and care deeply about everyone (both friends and enemies).

Species: Metagross
Personality: Jon's first Pokémon, Metagross is his absolute strongest; needlessly to say, they are very close personally. Metagross always tries to understand people, and does care about everyone; however, he will cause suffering to any enemies if it need be. He can think through (scientifically and mathematically) essentially anything, really.

Materials/Equipment: An empty M16 which he picked up from a dead soldier during the fight.

Appearance: Wren stands at 5’8” feet and 143 pounds. Her skin is pale enough that she’s always visible in dark areas, and it annoys her when she’s trying to sneak past someone or something. She has a sort of muscular build (similar to some female MMA fighters). Her eyes are a copper brown and she wears blue goggles over them when flying. Her hair is dark brown and styled in a Pixie cut, her bangs have a red tip and are styled like a Staraptor’s comb. Wren has Staraptor’s wings on her back, which she covers with a brown trench coat and only reveals them in private or in battle. Other than that, she wears a white tank top and black jeans with white running shoes.

Personality: Despite the wings on her back, Wren is no angel. While being calm and collected in when in company of people she cares about, she is the exact opposite when alone. She is extremely protective of her family/friends and holds very strong grudges. If you do something to make her hold a grudge, she’ll hunt you down or attack you at any opportunity she gets. Her hidden ability is Reckless, and so is her personality. Even though she is protective of others, she has no regards for them when they get in the way of an attack, and they often get caught in her crossfire. (I’m also hoping to develop her personality a bit more throughout the Roleplay, if that’s alright with you) EDIT: I also forgot to mention that Wren has horrible Hydrophobia.

History: Strangely enough, Wren was born with her wings and they aren’t because of experimentation. She was an “accident” that happened when her mother had a one night stand with a Gijinka she met at a party. Her mother was barely 20 when it happened, but without the support of Wren’s grandparents, she was forced to raise the girl in Virbank City on her own. Her mother blamed the girl for ruining her young adult life, and she taught her daughter that her wings were something to be ashamed of. Wren did actually believe this and was a shy and insecure child for most of her early life up until her little sister was born at the age of 6. This was when she found her protective instinct and tried to be a better mother than her own mother to her sister (named Susan). It was then that she saw her wings as a way of protecting Susan, like using them to scare off older kids who would pick on her and using them to shield her. This went on for years, and their mother really didn’t mind.

It was at the age of 10 that her mother married, and even though her new father wasn’t abusive or anything, Wren grew to dislike him with every passing month. She was constantly paranoid that he was ruining the family by unintentionally making her mother spend more time with him than with her daughters. She held in these inner aggressions until Middle School, where she took it out on her classmates and was often put in counseling sessions. This continued even in High School, where her parents wouldn’t do anything about it and her sister, Susan, was starting to see her older sister as less of a protector and more like a monster. Finally, at the age of 16, Wren was kidnapped by the same group that Jon was kidnapped by, and was researched because of her wings.

Goddamn Ozias Wheatley! Don't worry, not the actual THP/SE Ozias, but rather a recycled version of him. With a physical redesign.

Teleport: Ozias can warp space itself with his mental power, allowing him to take shortcuts through reality.

Psycho Cut: Ozias also has the ability to focus his psychic energy into his swords for "extra awesome".

Close Combat: Ozias is a skilled swordsman and, like Psycho Cut, and focus his bioelectric power (or Qi) into his swords (or limbs if needs be) to deliver a no-holds-barred beatdown.

Psychic: If one has the ability to fold the fabric of reality to their will, it can only be expected that they can levitate objects using their mind.

Ice Punch/Fire Punch/ThunderPunch: With his DNA allowing a basic mastery over the elements, Ozias can deliver blows to a majority of effects.

Goddamn Appearance: Ozias bears brown hair and green eyes, standing at 1.92m (6'3") with a mildly athletic build and landing somewhere between Caucasian and albino. His strength is not ridiculous, but high enough to worth noting, and his physical techniques in both urgent matters such as combat and everyday matters like changing lightbulbs are abstract and difficult to perform, yet highly effective, though this may be attributed to his mental state. He also wears a green cardigan with a hood and red kite shape on the chest, a slightly faded pair of jeans and trainers with Velcro straps, as he can never remember how to tie laces for more than an average of twenty seconds. He also has a British accent, because YOLO.

In gijinka form, his hair is white and his eyes red, and his cardigan becomes a kind of short longcoat (provided that that's even possible), the kite shape becoming a kind of undersized, single piece breastplate that covers only his upper chest. His jeans become moderately thicker and white, and his hood lengthens and gains a turquoise streak across the top. He hides a pair of katanas... hell, I'm not sure if even Arceus knows where he hides them, but he can Teleport them to himself (These are the only things he can Teleport to himself, he has to Teleport himself to everything else. Even he doesn't know how that works, not that it matters to him). He also has a pair of green vambraces on his arms and these two pieces of "armour" are apparently nondetachable. His physical abilities are augmented by his Gallade-y-ness.

Goddamn Personality: Ozias Wheatley almost a genius. Whether this is due to his genetic donors, Psychic typing or just developed over time, he can be described as a brilliant idiot who uses his remaining wits to be witty, and hence is probably mentally damaged, but this madness can join forces with his knowledge to come up with ridiculous but nonetheless effective schemes, or even improvisations. He generally displays a lighthearted, talkative, easy-going, witty and cheeky manner, but repeatedly demonstrates a vengeful and unforgiving streak as well. His strong personal sense of justice makes him quick to anger when he feels it is violated. This is coupled, however, with an intense sense of regret of the deaths of both his friends and enemies. The loss of his companions and friends becomes a sensitive issue and a mere mention may trigger a sudden outburst of anger without warning. Ozias has a tendency to babble, mixing apparent nonsense with vital information, sometimes acting erratically to put his enemies off-guard. He is prone to making comments that to outsiders seem obtuse or rude, sometimes to his own embarrassment, and has a tendency to use technobabble. He is also able to rapidly switch between moods, from mania to anger to nonchalance and uses this as a form of reverse psychology.

Goddamn History: Ozias coined his own name from his experiment ID, O21A5-UU83471Y (commonly shortened to O21A). He was the completely synthetic "child" of two scientists, as they were donors for his genetic structure, though it had some alterations made, most prominently, the addition of Gallade's DNA. He was frequently tested, but was quite happy. He escaped 4 years ago after the biotechnologists threatened to terminate him after he went "rampant", i.e. half-insane. Since then, he's just about to manage to blend into society, hiding by keeping his head down. Metaphorically. He can't do AC blending.

Anyways, from there his past is a bit of a blur. He managed to catch a few powerful Pokémon, and was somewhat decent at battling. However, he wandered regions in order to stop himself from being recaptured, hence remained practically invisible. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, as usual, to been thrown right into the story's events from the very beginning.

Personality: Trinity is, unlike most Hydreigon, loyal to her Trainer and not afraid of her opponents. In fact, she tries very hard to intimidate them instead. A typical wannabe heroine, she has a bit of an ego and loves winning.

Gender: Male
Species: Scizor
Personality: Plithos loves his dirty tricks. He'll do anything if it means frustrating or confusing his foe in battle. He is also very proud of his claws, and tends to them with great care.

Name: Chioni
Gender: Female
Species: Walrein
Personality: Chioni only really wants to get the job done. She doesn't care how or why, she just wants nothing more than to get the battle over with to get onto the next one, because she believes that this will make her strong.

Name: Mykis
Gender: Male
Species: Breloom
Personality: Mykis is very introverted, more the one to hide away in the corner than socialise because he doesn't want friends; he doesn't want to rely on anyone. He is actually really badass, but this too is kept to himself.

Name: Vronti
Gender: Male
Species: Eelektross
Personality: While not the strongest, Vronti is easily the most skilled of Ozias's team. The silent but deadly elite, he is an Eelektross of few words but always decimates his opponents in a properly thorough fashion. To him, violence is all there is to life, but has not even scratched the surface of his other emotions yet.

Goddamn Materials/Equipment: A pair of katanas. Katanas are just better. Also, a broken compass. And a watch.

Night Slash: Valkyrie can use her claws to transfer her Dark energy to other creatures, which can be deadly.

X-Scissor: She also has the ability to attack using type of energy which counters this, and Psychic energy too.

Taunt: Valkyrie can rouse an opponent very easily indeed. This is only to be expected, seeing as she's, well, Valkyrie.

Future Sight: Valkyrie can see into the future. Oh, and launch Psychic energy bolts into it.

Detect: Using her ability to see into the future at will, she can block attacks that she knows are coming. However, her visions become more inaccurate each time she uses them in quick succession.

Hone Claws: Valkyrie can turn her fingers into claws in an instant, making her about three times as deadly instantly.

Thief: Being tricksy as she is, she can steal pretty much anything right under the noses of its owner.

Appearance: In human form, Valkyrie has mid-length black hair tied back in a ponytail and brown eyes, with slightly tanned white skin, standing at 1.79m (5'10"). She has notably... *ahem* Let's just say she likes jodhpurs. Her face looks a little younger than she actually is, but she likes this because it "kinda freaks people out". She wears a denim jacket with a white shirt, and denim jeans (i.e. she likes denim too). She is particularly strong physically, and moderately fast.

In gijinka form, her hair is white and her skin slightly darkened. Her build becomes more athletic and she gains a set of cat-like fangs. Her clothing is also white and her physical abilities have been massively enhanced, her mental abilities also augmented, albeit not as much. She also gains the ability to make animal-like noises such as growling or purring.

Personality: Valkyrie is frisky, cheeky, stubborn (though not as much so as Ozias), and fiercely compassionate. She is also a little vain, but has plenty of tricks up her sleeve, and loves using them, proving herself to be a bit of an artist. She knows a lot about loopholes and how to find them, making her excellent at patching up leaky ideas and plans. She is very confident and difficult to intimidate, but it is impossible to know if scaring her is successful anyway, as she is good at hiding her emotions, and hates showing weakness due to her slight arrogance.

History: Valkyrie Ellwood grew up in Jubilife City, not becoming particularly involved with her family's lives. She was well-liked at school but nonetheless was a bit of a loner, preferring to not get involved in the affairs of others, and instead was perfectly happy keeping to herself. Valkyrie was kidnapped at 9 and made a gijinka, and locked up in the same building as Ozias. Unlike him, she wasn't happy there, and frequently escaped, but always broke back in again because she and Ozias got along well. When he escaped, she left for good and set to work on tracking him down.

When she was 14 she found him, helping him blend in with society and taught him basic Pokémon skills. They split up two years after, Valkyrie becoming a talented computer hacker and doing her best to hide her gijinka status from those around her, being ashamed of it. She only recently began to accept it as who she was, and began experimenting with her Absol abilities to find that she was much stronger than she realised. She also comes into our story early, but deliberately, after stumbling across information as to what was happening between the regions, and that Ozias was about to get mixed up in all of it. And so, she began her second Ozias Hunt.

Pokémon Team:

Name: Century
Gender: Male
Species: Spiritomb
Personality: Century is Valkyrie's only Pokémon, but powerful all the same. He knows this, but chooses not to reveal it in battle unless absolutely needed, and so he doesn't boast either, instead insisting that he isn't very strong at all. This is because he is secretly afraid of the havoc he might wreak if he accepts his power and by extension embraces his natural chaotic nature.

To be honest, it seems likely. It's just an opinion, but personally I think waiting for six or seven players is a bit much; six is a crowd, seven is rapidly approaching the total population of China. But having said that, PokeLegend probably knows better than me what he's doing.

With the three of us that are in so far, I can tell that this RP will probably move pretty damned fast.
