DECO*27 - Volt Tackle (Jewel Remix) feat. Hatsune Miku - Key Art
Project VOLTAGE, the special art and music collaboration project between Pokémon and the popular Volcaloid character Hatsune Miku, will soon be releasing its first music video for 2024, with Volt Tackle (Jewel Remix) feat. Hatsune Miku from DECO*27 set to premiere later today, Friday January 26th, at 6:30pm (JST) / 9:30am (UTC) / 1:30am (PST). The next 5 Vocaloid producers collaborating with the project will be announced one hour after this premiere.

DECO*27 released his first Vocaloid song Boku Mitai na Kimi Kimi Mitai na Boku (僕みたいな君、君みたいな僕 - You who resemble me, I who resemble you) on the Japanese video sharing website Nico Nico Douga in 2008. As an early adopter of the Vocaloid software, who primarily uses Hatsune Miku's voice for his songs, his music has had an exceptional influence on the public image of the Hatsune Miku character and of Vocaloid music in general. Many of his songs, including 2010's Aikotoba (愛言葉) and 2020's HIBANA, have joined Vocaloid's Hall of Fame, and are frequently included in Vocaloid live concerts and featured in Vocaloid-related game franchises such as the Project DIVA and Project Mirai series. His song Volt Tackle feat. Hatsune Miku was the first song released as part of the Project Voltage collaboration, all the way back in September 2023.

In addition to today's music video premiere, the official @PokeMikuVOLTAGE account on X (formerly Twitter) will be announcing the next 5 Vocaloid producers who'll be contributing to the project later today. The very first of these will premiere tomorrow, February 27th, with additional songs to release on February 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 17th.

Apart from the common theme of "Pokémon featuring Hatsune Miku", and the requirement that the songs sample the background music and sound effects of the Pokémon games in some way, each of the producers for the Songs and Music Videos sub-project have been given free reign to express their own creative vision.

Project VOLTAGE's first sub-project, "18 Types of Hatsune Miku and Partner Pokémon Illustrations and Settings" (18タイプの初音ミク&相棒ポケモンのイラスト・設定資料) featured a set of 18 artworks from 6 separate artists based on the theme of "What if Hatsune Miku was an XX-type Pokémon Trainer". This project completed on September 28th, 2023, with the posting of the Dragon-type Hatsune Miku with her partner Pokémon Miraidon, however the past months have seen an additional range of additional bonus illustrations also being released. All illustrations released by the project to date can be found catalogued on Bulbapedia.
