Contest Pseudo Legendary Showdown!

I love love love Dragonite. He has my vote. Loved him since gen. I.

I also love Metagross and Salamence. Hoenn has some seriously awesome Pseudo-legendaries.

My vote goes with Garchomp. It is really powerful, and it can mega-evolve. Only Tyranitar can also say that.

I really love Garchomp because I had an awesome one named Kaiju that I caught directly after watching Pacific Rim. It stayed with me through my entire run of Pokémon Y and helped me through some very important battles.

Metagross is one of my six favorite Pokemon of all time so he gets the vote. Honorable mention goes to Garchomp. Flygon was always too weak for me especially with that ice type death sentence.

3. Dragonite: It's super cute.
4. Tyranitar: With all of its weaknesses I'm still surprised how sturdy it can be.
5. Hydreigon: It evolves so late, but it is really well balanced like Dragonite.
6. Salamence: Too squishy. Can't take a hit for crap, though the attack values are pretty good.
7. Goodra: I haven't had an opportunity to use her so I don't know where she fits.

I made a chart like this. What do you guys think?
I picked movesets while considering having stabs, being effective against types on max numbers and being able to effective against a pokemon with a type-advantage. So, there was no room for status moves.

With the right moveset, a Garchomp can win this easily. Also Garchomp is one of the most original of the Dragon Type because most other Pokémon of this typing are generic European (and Asian) dragons.

My favorite is Hydreigon, only Garchomp even comes close. It's the only pseudo-legendary that seems legitimately threatening, like it has destructive power on par with legendaries. Most of the others are badass, but not really to the point of being seemingly nigh-invulnerable.

I love all them, they all have a place in my heart, either a badass or sentimental reason, I love them!

Hydreigon stands out a bit more to me because of its awesome typing (Damn fairy types making him hide) I have always wanted a Dragon and Dark type ever since they had been made types and although I might have designed him a little differently, I got the typing and I love him for it!

I go for Garchomp. With the combination of Ground and Dragon made it available from being main Attack-type specialist to waller to revenge-kill type Pokemon. With its high speed and balanced defensive stats, it is a perfect all around offensive and defensive Pokemon.

In order of favorite to least (judging with both their designs and personal experience having them on teams): Metagross, Dragonite, Salamence, Hydreigon, Tyranitar, Goodra, Garchomp

They're all solid Pokemon, but I'd have to give Metagross the top spot. It's a tough-as-nails, intelligent spider tank -- what's not to love (well, aside from the Ground weakness)? And as ORAS brought to mind, it also got the nicest-looking shiny form out of the pseudos.

In terms of who would win if they all got into a brawl...Salamence or Garchomp, I'd wager.

I vote Salamence because it's the most amazing Pokemon ever. Cool design, nice stats, less cool but alright megalution, Salamence is perfect. The rest follow in the order of Garchomp, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Goodra, Hydreigon, and Metagross.

As of now, Metagross. It was a difficult decision. I didn't like having to choose between that and Garchomp.

SALAMENCE SALAMENCE SALAMENCE SALAMENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2: Metagross. The only one that stands a fighting chance and Salamence would still wipe him out.

3: Hydreigon.

4: Dragonite

5: Garchomp.

6: Goodra. SERIOUSLY, people? A pile of goo?

Metagross!!

It's a freaking super-intelligent robot computer (quasi transformer) tank on legs. And its design is completely different and unique to the other ones. Raising this thing up from Beldum is hard, especially if you have no access to tutor moves, but that's what makes the end goal of Metagross even more worthwhile. Also it and TTar were my first pseudo-legeds i owned.

Hydreigon is amazing, and i love the heads evolution. Tyranitar rules, with sand stream and those great MT pokestar studios movies. Salamence with moxie is a machine of destruction, it's a shame (or just as well) it won't see much use now it also has a mega.

Not really sure about the others. Haven't actually evolved a Gible up to Garchomp yet, so the only one i know is Cynthia's (and fighting against that thing without a fast dragon or ice type move user is a total bitch) and the only Dragonite i have is good but not great. It does have multiscale though. Still don't know what to make of the dragon snail either.

Having started with Gen. II, I have to go with Tyranitar. It's got great stats, an awesome design (y'know, being fucking Godzilla and all), a wide physical movepool that can cover most of its (admittedly numerous) weaknesses (Thunder Punch for Water-types, Aerial Ace for Fighting-types, etc.), and a pretty sweet Mega to boot.

I chose Salamence because I'm biased and it's my favorite Dragon-type, but those that can go neck-and-neck are Tyranitar and Metagross. All three are incredible.

My top picks are Metagross and Hydreigon.

Metagross reasons:
1. Steven Stone
2. Badass super computer robot
3. It's a Steel-type
4. Steven
5. It's one of the few pokemons that get constantly praised in the games to the point it's funny...mostly by Steven and his dad.
6. You get it for free by Steven
7. You get a free shiny and the shiny color is cool. It also triggers event dialogues.
8. Beldum is pure adorbs
9. Mega Metagross is so cool :)
10. Fairy-counter!

Hydreigon reasons:
1. Boss ace.
2. Ghetsis
3. Bundle of pure evil and badass fury
4. In Black2, Life Orb Hydreigon almost wiped me out. Scariest experience ever. Damn you Ghetsis.
5. Three heads are better than one.
6. Amie lets you see the hands eating... which is kinda cute.
7. Poor baby - 4x weak to Fairy.
8. Needs a Mega with Filter or something
9. RPG-esque design created to be kid-friendly.
10. Made me like dragons.
