Psychic Spectacular event returns to Pokémon GO from September 20th, Shiny Solosis makes its Pokémon GO debut

Pokémon GO - Psychic Spectacular Event
Niantic has released details on this year's Psychic Spectacular event, that was first announced at the end of July. An annual event in Pokémon GO, the Psychic Spectacular will this year run from September 20th, at 10:00am to September 24th, at 8:00pm local time. Shiny Solosis will be making its Pokémon GO debut as part of this event.

Event bonuses and activities
During the event period, Trainers who successfully catch Pokémon with Curveball Throws will receive increased XP. Additionally, Timed Research focusing on Curveball Throws will be available at no cost throughout the event. Completing these research tasks with award players with an encounter with Solosis.

PokéStop Showcases for Spoink will also be running throughout the event at different PokéStops.

An event-themed Collection Challenge will be available as part of this event. Compting the Psychic Spectacular Collection Challenges will award players with Stardust, XP, and Mega Energy for several Psychic-type Pokémon. A number of Psychic Spectacular-themed Field Research tasks are also available. When these tasks are completed, Trainers will receive an encounter with select Psychic-type Pokémon (see below), as well as Mega Energy for the following Pokémon:
  • Mega Alakazam
  • Mega Slowbro
  • Mega Gardevoir
  • Mega Medicham
