What were the context of these scenes? Like, what was Satoshi asking about the kiss in the original and what was Kasumi saying about love that made Satoshi make this pun? Also, when Kasumi was writing the love letters for the Nidoran trainers and mentioned how they were to immature to realize their feelings for each other, Kenji said that the trainers of the Nidoran were just like Kasumi and Satoshi (To which they got angry at). Was this the same in the original? Possibly (At the time, of course, not anymore) a hint to Satoshi and Kasumi liking each other later on, just as the younger trainers did?

Yes.

Nidoran evolved after their kiss and Kenji said that it was due to "experience points" they've got from kissing. Satoshi was confused about how you get "experience" by kissing someone, hence Kasumi's comment.
and what was Kasumi saying about love that made Satoshi make this pun?
She understands romance (koi) when she sees it.

Boys in the Pokémon anime are usually dense about romance. Especially young boys. Satoshi would only take interest in more adult subjects like romance or therapy or envy if he thinks it's a new Pokémon. He sees everything in the lens of Pokémon-related stuff. The closest thing he could comprehend to romantic love is the friendship bonds he has with Pokémon.

Because really, human romance would be a subject outside of Pokémon, which 10 year old Ash knows very little about. If it's not related to Pokémon or becoming Pokémon Master, he's not all that interested. I even suspect that if he did fall in love and proposed to someone as an adult, he'll do it like Professor Kukui and make it somehow Pokémon-related.
