The term "Brooklyn Bowling," refers to putting your bowling ball in the opposite pocket than what you are supposed to do. For a right handed bowler, this means aiming for the 1-2 pocket, and for a left handed bowler, it means aiming for the 1-3 pocket.
On the other hand, the term "Brooklyn Bowling" doesn't technically apply to left handed bowlers since it was coined when the bowling alley was in NY. The lanes all faced one direction and Brooklyn was to the left "across the river." If a righty threw a "Brooklyn Ball" it meant that they had thrown the ball too far to the left, or towards Brooklyn.
