My advice for your early Battle Tree challenges: Use a QR team, score BP with them, and use that BP to buy items for your team until they're able to stand to the Tree on their own.
Also, it's more like 68 wins in standard difficulty for a Mega Stone.

Well, you'll never get there if you don't start.
You'll also start building up BP quicker once you reach the Super challenges.

At least you're not weird and like things the long way. I get bugged if the IVs take too long, since it's just boring egg hatching, but once the actual level training starts, I find myself going the long was and training them on Wild Pokemon around their levels since I enjoy the training so much.
Gardevoir and Sandslash are near combat ready from that, and I plan on starting to train a Kommo-o soon in preparation for Clangorous Soulblaze in USUM.

tbh i really just got some of my team off GTS, lvl 1 and IV ready and just picked whichever i actually hatched that had decent IVs

snowball's chance in hell i'm gonna grind for a destiny knot and go through breeding again

I have 2 ENTIRE BOXES of Rowlets that i don't know what to do with
