And I found out about Moomin in like 2015 when I went to study in Japan for a month. When I went to study abroad last year, hot damn did I become invested in Moomin. It's everywhere. I can't tell you how many times I went to the Moomin Cafe(s).

It makes me want to learn Finnish and travel there zzzz

Yeah. I've heard that the Moomins are huge in Japan too, partially maybe because the original Moomin cartoon was actually made in Japan.
