For some reason, the first Avengers movie never stood out among the other Marvel movies for me- I liked it, but it's not really one that I would think of as the best, even earlier when there weren't a bajillion MCU movies out (by a "bajillion" I mean, like, fifteen or twenty I think?). Would say I rank the all Iron Man ones pretty high, though- Tony Stark is a great character and the plots and villains in those movies are all good as well. I can't argue with nostalgia though. I don't really havd it as much for the Phase 1 movies because I didn't really start paying attention to the MCU until after Phase 2 started.
