We only get grades for our state exam results

Ah. We get graded for everything except that. The only problem with your grading is what if someone has a bad day, and doesn't do well on their state exams? Do they fail? That seems very unfair. Unless you take a lot of state exams...

Only 2. For the one I'll be sitting in 2015, even if you have a bad day you can still recover and do well. 7 subjects are done for the exams while only 6 count, so the one we do the worst in is discounted for calculating points.

Ah. We get graded a certain percentage for tests, quizes (Which I have learned are different from tests), assesments, and homeworks. We do have a standardized test, ISTEP, which determines what all you learned over the school year. We also have to take a test called acuity, which is supposed to determine how you do on ISTEP, but even if I get less than Pass plus on acuity, I do perfectly fine on ISTEP. ISTEP and acuity don't count for grades, but if you do poorly on it, I think they can make you do the school year again, or do summer school. But that's just standardized testing in indiana. I dunno what it is like in, say, Texas.

This'll explain how the points system I mentioned works, there's two different levels we can sit exams at, Higher (which is harder) and Ordinary (which is much easier). Obviously the better you do, the more points you'll get. This is taken from my school journal.
% range
Grade
Higher Level points
Ordinary Level points
90-100A110060
85-89A29050
80-84B18545
75-79B28040
70-74B37535
65-69C17030
60-64C26525
55-59C36020
50-54D15515
45-49D25010
40-44D3455

As an example, if a person gets a B1, a C3, a D1 and an A2 in 4 Higher level subjects and a C1, D3 and B3 in 3 Ordinary level subjects, their points total would be 355, as the D3 at Ordinary would be discarded as it's the lowest points-wise.

Or! the class was too distracted to learn things at the ideal pace.

:p

That's not usually the case with my classes. For example, one of my teachers basically just showed us crash course videos in social studies class last year after baseball season started, since he coaches baseball. And Crash course is great, but john green talks way too fast, and he didn't go over everything we needed to learn.

I thought you didn't like when everyone was here posting at once. :V

This sucks sometimes, because when this happens, I can't ever get a word in, and if I do, my text is usually lost in the wave of posts.

This is more of a waist high fence post.

ello!
Lunch is the worst meal of the day.

Why?

You can call me anything but Marcus and Marco. Please. said:
I have one brother and one sister. I also have one older brother from our birth parents.

... There's no way to ask this without being rude, so I won't.

Despite his interesting posts

Yeah, it's really curious.

I am dissapoint.

Standardized testing makes me sad. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.

Why?

I have to go, but I was curious, how do you people put a line through text? I don't see a button for it. You can post quote this, vm me, or pm me about this. Thanks, and bye!

On weekends when I don't have to get up for anything in particular, I usually go to bed around 2 to 3 and get up between 9 and 10.
