It depends on the procedure, but the kind that isn't life endangering isn't that bad. Waking up after it is freaky though.

I don't know what degree the curve is now, all I know is that before the surgery it should have been around 50 degrees.

I know that some people are born with 13 "bones" in their spine instead of 12 (one of them is my grandma, who has no other spinal problem besides that). Are you one of them?
