I got lucky and got the costume from my friend for $20 because it was too small for her. It's extremely good though. The materials for the headphones and hair ties came up to like $30, then the wig was $60, and buying pain, glue, and tights for the boots came up to like $20...so you have a point :s

Well screw authenticity (in this case). For something so generic, mostly-accurate works well enough. :I

and worst-case scenario I could just say I'm a regular ol' Pokémon trainer

I do too, but if I can get an outfit that is 90%+ accurate of who I'm cosplaying as, I'm okay with that.
