Subway is better than public transporation on land. The latter falls prey to car traffic(
In a car, safety is also entrusted to others, in the hopes that they don't fuck upIn a car (except a taxi) you generally are either in control yourself (and safety thus depends primarily on your skill and concentration), or entrust it to someone you know. A bus is, obviously, a different story
