Isn't it uncomfortable?I'll just *hic* patiently wa- *hic* wait till it's ove- *hic* -er...
I just wait for it to pass. It does not last more than half an hour.
I am not really sure of what causes it. Probably cold water.
Thanks for the advice, Zima!
I think you are right because of according to this.I think it's a series of spasms of the midriff
Linked Site said:Hiccups, or hiccoughs, are involuntary sounds made by spasms of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is a large sheet of muscle slung beneath the lungs that, together with the intercostal muscles, causes us to breathe. The muscular spasm of these muscles sucks air into the lungs, and the quick inhalation makes a structure inside the throat (called the epiglottis) slam shut. (The epiglottis is a flap of tissue that closes over the windpipe during swallowing to prevent the inhalation of food, fluids or saliva.) This sharp closure of the epiglottis causes the characteristic ‘hic’ sound of hiccups.
Minecraft is funny :3
I sometimes get hiccups if I laugh a lot. I get rid of them by drinking water and pinching my nose.
I AM A *hic* A FEARLESS WARRIOR, WHICH *hic* MEANS THAT I AM *hic* UNAFFECTED BY SPOOPI- *hic* ...SPOOPINESS!!!
No
Never
I just get random hiccup fits once every few months
Also, yay I was right! Diaphragm is a better word than midriff though
I don't get hiccups all that often and I laugh at this thread a lot.
